All the copies here in the USA I've seen are not the original. Do I need to order one from abroad or what?

It is a best seller in Muslim countries.
Reputable scholars have carefully examined 'The Gospel of Barnabas' and find absolutely NO BASIS for its authenticity. Even a number of Muslims scholars think that it is fake.

Muslims often cite 'The Gospel of Barnabas' in DEFENSE of Islamic teaching. A central idea in this work is in accord with a basic Muslim claim, namely, that Jesus did not die on the cross. Instead, this book contends that Judas Iscariot was substituted for Jesus ( sect 217 ). This view has been adopted by many Muslims, sins vast majority of them believe that someone else was substituted on the cross for Jesus.

Sometimes it is confused with the first-century 'Epistle of ( Pseudo ) Barnabas ( C.A.D 70 -90 ), which is entirely a different book. In this way Muslim scholars falsely allege there is support for an early date. Andsome have mistakenly assumed that the reference to a gospel used by Barnabas referred in to the apocryphal ' Acts of Barnabas' ( before C.A.D 478 ) was 'The Gospel of Barnabas'. That is clearly false.

The message of the apocryphal Gospel of Barnabas is completely refuted by eyewitnesss first-century documents that possees over five thousand manuscripts to support their authenticity, namely, the New Testament.

No Muslim should accept the authenticity of The Gospel of Barnabbas since it CLEARLY contradicts the Qur'an's claim that Jesus was the Messiah. And its' teachings contradicts Qur'an. Or are you trying to look for versions that do not do that?

Khalid: You may not know this but Muhammed confirmed the Bible. So you are not trusting Qur'an either. But no worries, I do not believe Qur'an either. But you have a free will, and you are free to accept Muhammed as the prophet.

Muslimah..so if the Gospel of Barnabas is true, then Qur'an is wrong. And that is closest to the truth? OK by me : )

Praise be to Allah.

About your question I don't know whether you'll find it or not.

But what surprises me ... When I read why christians didn't consider the gospel of bernabas as a book in the bible.

ALL THE REASONS THEY CONSIDER, ARE PRESENT AND EVEN IN A MORE PROMINENT WAY IN THE OTHER BOOKS.

EDIT: TO SeeTheLight

You said: "Even a number of Muslims scholars think that it is fake."

PUT THIS IN MIND, WE BELIEVE THAT THE WHOLE BIBLE IS A FAKE.

EDIT: TO SeeTheLight

NO YOU MAY NOT KNOW THAT, PROPHET MOHAMMAD DIDN'T CONFIRM WHAT YOU CALL A BIBLE.

If so, then proove it..
SIMPLY, if he did why didn't he ask his followers to follow the bible???

And my sister Muslimah ... SAID IT'S THE CLOSEST TO THE TRUTH, not the truth.
