My dad works in the field of homicide investigation for the police. He is considered eccentric by his co workers because he uses methods that are not sanctioned. Once he got in big trouble and was suspended for 6 months but was reinstated. He still uses these methods but now does it on his own time without having a partner present. In fact a few times I was his partner (lol lol). I think they realize that and look the other way. For example, once he went to a cemetary when few people were around with a man and myself. I was helping him by taking notes of things the man was saying. My dad was too busy to write anything down and he did not want to tape record the proceedings. Plus he was questioning the man. Apparently we were at the grave side of a woman who was a victim and the man was talking with her spirit. Before you put this down you should realize that after my dad dropped me off at home he spent the next few days and solved this case and arrested the perpetrator.

I suppose any place would be legitimate. I've never seen a sign that states, contacting the spirit world not allowed. It has been proven that humans only use 1/10 of their brain. Obviously your Dad uses a little more. My best to him, and his part time partner.

No.

Your personal anecdote is interesting, and sometimes just creatively pursuing cases from new angles may provide new insights, but spirit world contact is never a legitimate means for solving cases, and such evidence should NEVER be permitted in a court.

Otherwise we're back to the Salem witch hunt trial days of yore.
