John 14.15:17
“If you love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father and He shall give you another Comforter that he may abide with you forever.”
In another versions the Holy Spirit was translated as (The Thankful man) in The Holy Land (or Israil) a lot of gospels copies translate the Holy Spirit as (farqaleet) means in Hebrew (The Thankful man) or “Grateful man “!!!!!!!!
That’s mean the real mean of (Holy Spirit) is (Human)!
Muslim theologians have said that “Comforter, farqaleet .....” is Muhammad, the and “abide forever” means the perpetuity of his laws but we can’t believe Muslims.

The Gnostic Gospel of Barnabas wasn't canonized at the first Council of Nicaea for a reason. It is not a reliable source of information and didn't meet the requirements set forth by the leading scholars of the day.

You can't compare it with a Book of the Bible for validation any more than you can with a Stephen King novel.

Sorry I don't do links in Questions very often.. however..for the rest...

Who do you think Jesus was talking to when the said that? He was talking to His Disciples.. which leaves out Muhammad because he did not come along until much later.. he could not have comforted the Disciples.
