Is there a setting I need to adjust to take pictures in motion? Everytime I try to take a picture of my daughter dancing, it comes out blurry.

It might have several reasons, but it's a typical problem - in a dark enviroment (even if it doesn't actually look dark) like a room or theater, the camera needs extra time to create the picture. It can be even seconds. Of course, your daughter is moving by that time, your hand's are shaking, that's why it is blurry. You can do something against it.

1. Use flash if possible - normaly it works only if the object you're photographing is about 3-5 meters away from you
2. Use some camera preset - like sport, or running rabbit, or something like that
3. Zoom out. Zooming in make the exposure time longer.

All these things lead to minimise the exposure time, which is the time your photo is being taken. You can lower the exposure time manually, but by that time the picture is usually a bit dark.

It's a common problem of all proffesional photographers as well, don't be afraid it's just you :) If you want to know more, just google photography. Good luck!!!

Depends on the camera but most have a speed option.

Look for a running person or rabbit and set to that.

turn the knob to the picture of the running person or the rabbit.
