How many think that there are two different accounts for the Biblical Creation? Genesis 1 & 2?

You're right:

One is talking about the world and universe. Plants, Animals, Adam etc.

Then in 2 it is talking about what God created in the Graden. Adam was first in the garden, then God brought animals to see which one Adam would like, then when Adam saw none God made Eve.

No contradiction two seperate things. What do you think?

Actually, in literature, this is called a summation.

"The Great Gazoo" - That is a perfect user name for you. This one character represents the moment the Flintstones "jumped the shark". A perfect representation for your silly speculations.

Genesis 1:1 says “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth…” Later, in Genesis 2:4, it seems that a second, different story of Creation begins. However, close examination of the text will show that what is recorded in 1:1-2:3 is an introductory summary of the events of creation, and that what begins with verse 2:4 is a more detailed account of the Creation of mankind. There is nothing in the two Creation accounts that contradicts. Genesis 2:4-25 should be understood as a further explanation of what happened in Genesis 1:26-31. It is comparable to taking a magnifying glass to Genesis 1:26-31 to take a closer look at the Creation of mankind.

Nothing in the Scripture suggests that everything we need to know about God is revealed to us in nature. Nature simply puts God's glory on display in a mute testimony that declares His majesty, power, divinity, and existence to all - and leaves them to without excuse if they ignore of reject the God of the Bible. : )

The day five marks the appearance of the first living creatures. Here God populate the seas and the skies.

When day six began, God put the finishing touch on the habitat He had created for man. We have the introduction of all kinds of land animals. That includes every kind of land-based creature from insect and worms to elephants and giraffes. And the biblical account makes it very clear that these creatures did not evolve from lower life-forms, sea life, or birds.

The creation stories of Genesis were told in oral form for centuries before being written down. The two accounts of creation represents an effort to blend both oral traditions into written form.

Addendum: Gazoo, has it occurred to you that Christians (and perhaps non-Christians, since we don't really know) who give you a "thumbs down" aren't doing this in response to the Scripture you posted but rather in response to your hostile, condescending attitude?

Oh I see a couple of contradictions
First Account (Genesis 1:1-2:3)
Second Account (Genesis 2:4-25)

Genesis 1:25-27
(Humans were created after the other animals.)

And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And God said, Let us make man in our image.... So God created man in his own image.

Genesis 2:18-19
(Humans were created before the other animals.)

And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.

Genesis 1:27
(The first man and woman were created simultaneously.)

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Genesis 2:18-22
(The man was created first, then the animals, then the woman from the man's rib.)

And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them.... And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.

ADDED: You said no contradictions in the two accounts. I just posted that it says one thing one place and another thing in another in the two creation stories a few times. My point it there are hundreds or even thousands. Either it is the inspired word of God and perfect, or it ain't.......

And I LOVE getting thumbs down from Christians with a post that is nearly ALL scripture.

No. Sorry. Contradiction? What contradiction? So what if there is one? You don't need to understand. Just believe. Stamp out doubt. If I, the great religious leader say that 2 + 2 =5, just believe. Don't think. You'll be much happier.

Two texts, two tribes, two stories.

In Genesis 1, the Creator is God ("Elohim" which is plural).

In Genesis 2, the Creator is Lord ("Adonai").

Hmmm.. I have often thought that perhaps they were talking about making the Universe and all that is in it.. Spiritually.. and then in the second.. Physically.

I think its another case of bending over backwards and twisting the book to make it more believable. Can you please tell me who was the originator of this teaching? Is it something fairly recent, or did any christian teachers propose this prior to Darwin's book, Origin of the Species?

To me that makes sense and I don't know why a lot of people can't see it, maybe because they depend on just what they have heard and not read on it their own
