i think it might just be slightly different...i'm sure most hospital janitors don't smash interns methods of transportation (cars, bikes, mopeds etc) on a regular basis. grays anatomy might be a bit more similar but over dramatised, obviously.

Those people are well-rested, well-fed, and well-groomed, and they have social lives interacting with each other all during the show. Real residents in training programs don't resemble any of that. Imagine Ms. Gray's hair and general appearance at 9 a.m. when she started work (and I mean work--no meal breaks, no time to talk socially) since 6 a.m. the previous day, except for a little nap from 3 to 3:30 in the morning, no shower, no time to brush the teeth or hair. That's a more realistic picture.

I'm sure if you were a real doctor and behaved in the same manners, you'd probably be fired or sued real quick.

oh yes, it's just like that. everyone has very interesting social lives, and our dialogue sounds like it's scripted by a hollywood writer all the time. oh and yes, we're all that good looking.
