You might also consider Hindu, Buddhism, Zoroastrianism, shintoism and many other religions not stemming from Judeo-Christian beliefs. Christianity and Islam consider Jesus to be at least a prophet. In Judaism, Jesus is just considered to be a man, with no status of prophet or lord. And parts of all 3, Islam, Judaism and Christianity consider the old and new testaments as books to be taken seriously. You might want to also consider though that there are sects inside all 3 of these that take a very liberal approach to interprerting their holy books, and basically look at them as good moral lessons as well as out dated guides for living in a tribal society 1000s of years ago.

Deism. It's what Thomas Jefferson believed. Deist essential believe good is like a watchmaker who put all the pieces together, then didn't interfere after that.

He made the Jefferson Bible by taking a razor, cutting all the miracles out of the new testament, and leaving the moral teachings.

NO...How is it conceivable that he's the two one hundred% human and one hundred% god? human beings are mortal, yet god is immortal, and if he's the two, then how could he have died being that he's immortal additionally? you won't have the ability to be the two... Jesus develop right into a guy and he develop into one in each and every of God's prophets, yet he develop into purely a guy. no longer God, and not the son of God. and then there is the bible, authored by King James (LOL)...have you ever performed that pastime Gossip the place you tell one guy or woman something and by the point it gets to the top of the line of human beings, that's all tousled? The bible wasn't written by Jesus, and it is not even his right words...it truly is a compilation of what human beings heard and observed, and in the event that they had to make something up and placed it in there, there develop into no longer something to quit them. Then the hot scrolls, curiously King James would not like what they ought to declare, by fact he's not desirous to place them in the bible... Then there is the trinity...father, son, holy ghost...3 gods...yet you're saying there is entirely one God...Contradictory, huh?

Alot of bad spelling, but you get your point across as being one that is of a religion that does not believe in Judaism or christianity. One reason I quit believing in the New and Old Testaments is this "morality" you speak of. There is nothing "moral" in much of what is written, except to SAY, that right and wrong in those books is stipulated upon the perpectives of one culture. Doesn't mean the BEHAVIORS are MORAL, and many of them AREN'T. Look hard at all the MURDER deplicted in those books, then to END it all they CRUCIFY someone and RITUALIZE the act of murder as an ACT of a "saving" grace of God to atone for mankinds behaviors. Changes in the world do not OCCUR because of this PERSPECTIVE and it will never change for the better as long as humanity does not take RESPONSIBILITY for it's own bad behaviors, WITHOUT making MURDER part of a HOLINESS atonement to God in heaven..................

I think that the bible is meant to be taken seriously. but becomes dangerous when it is taken LITERALLY.

It sounds like you are just looking for your own religion. Do not look to a church or wise people to tell you what to believe. Look into your heart and all of God's wisdom is there!

Jesus was rebelling against the church of his time. He was questioning the structure of society. So question rebel. But as long as you are treating people well and takig care of the earth its all good!
