I am neither atheist or religous. Agnostic actually. But i'm between a rock and a hard place. I have had both spiritual experiences and psychic. I am known to scientist. It's a long story. I peeved off the scientist because I've provided irrifutable proof of premonitions which they faithfully believed was not possible, but it's a bit hard to deney now with that much proof. Those of a religious faith who know what's happened don't seem at all peeved. You see, I survived an illness which I shouldn't have, defying wht is understood about medical science, which is why my medical notes have gone for research and simmultaneously had spiritual experiences as well as this psychic stuff.

I am committed to a number of personal convictions, though I try to hold no convictions which are not based in testable evidence. But what is most fascinating in your question for me as an ex-pastor is remembering how troubling it always was that Christians were typically too intellectually lazy to even know what they believe and why. They had been conditioned from birth to consider themselves Christians even though they couldn't really explain what that meant doctrinally or historicaly. While they were typically quite certain the Ten Commandments should be in every school classroom and every courthouse, they neither could recite nor cite the Ten Commandments, let alone have any awareness that the Bible contains two set sof Ten Commandments that don't match. They've merely acquiesced to the majoritiarian belief of the culture in which they were raised and have never fired a single neuron to even ascertain if what they'd been taught were in fact reasonable and true, but were nonetheless always ready to insist that any other belief was ignorant and evil as was the person who held it. And I can tell from your question that I probably just described you in detail.

Matthew 7:1- “Don’t criticize. And then you won’t be criticized. 2-For others will treat you as you treat them. 3-And why worry about a speck in the eye of a brother when you have a board in your own? 4-Should you say `Friend, let me help you get that speck out of your eye,’ when you can’t even see because of the board in your own? 5-Hypocrite! First get rid of the board. Then you can see to help your brother.”

I am being "lazy" while sitting here at my computer answering this question - rather then doing laundry, the dishes, jogging...etc.

A Christian

There are two words that are used interchangably and should not be. Atheist only means one who does not believe in ANY God, not just the Christian God. Agnostic means one who simply does not know for sure.

To make a statement about what Atheist belive is absurd. I would doubt that any two atheistic believe the same thing or came to their conclusions in the same manner.

The god they have faith in is themselves.. you do not have any thought the reality of this, or what which potential. Or how ridiculous you sound living interior of a field the place your worst enemy is somebody you like. Lukewarm is the disease of your faith. maximum Christians won't be able to even save their faith up for a whole day, much less a life-time. WHO CAN BLAME THEM? finally end up and it truly is an journey 24/7. no count if it truly is interior of Christianity or no longer. the factor is, you define it no longer somebody sitting next to you. existence is sacred. there is not any reason to proceed to shove worry down the throats of truly everyone around you. Then call your self persecuted. You do all of it on your very own. this suggestions-set and perception is trash. In my fathers abode there are a number of mansions, if it weren't so, i does no longer have instructed you. it may be the worst sort of hell to be caught in a Mansion with human beings of this perception equipment. i would be returned right here, taking section in the presents of planet EArth and coming up my human adventure from the interior, out. taking section in it.

Most Atheists have studied different religions and religious beliefs especially the Theistic religions and have come to a conclusion that they feel is logical to them and therefore it has nothing to do with being "too lazy to believe".

We are definitly commited to a belief and many of us after a lot of time and thought. Unlike christians who are either too lazy or unable to think for themselves and must be led by others.

Why do you assume they are cookie cutter clones? Did you consider any other possibilities, or were you too lazy? Perhaps they include people who could devastate you shallow beliefs (as evidenced by your shallow question), people who have studied numerous texts and found no basis for belief, and people who have rejected belief for the horrors it brings.

Most atheists came to their decision by doing an extended amount of research from a variety of sources on at least one religion, including reading that religion's holy book cover to cover.

Most believers came to their decision because, "Well, my pappie told me 'bout Jesus, so it's true!".

What's that you were saying about lazy, dear?

Atheist simply means a lack in belief in god. Atheism is as much as a belief as "off" is a tv channel

Many atheists have put more thought into their beliefs than you might think. Plus, since they often have to defend themselves, I would hardly call them lazy.
