Ask about opinions on current events and/or celebrities. (i.e. Who do you think should get custody of Ann Nicole Smith's baby?) Tell stories about interesting things that have happened to you. Storytelling is an art that is good to develop. Ask why women do certain things, as in "why do women always tend to date jerks?" If all else fails, find a book called "The book of questions". It gives a lot of interesting and thought provoking questions to ask.
In starting conversations attitude is the key. Keep things light and playful for a while. It's OK to be mildly insulting, as long as you do it in a funny/joking way.

The secret with women is very simple, make them feel good about themselves.
A good conversation starter is : hello!
Ask her about herself and then listen to what she says. If you can´t think of anything to say, ask her another question.

Just talk about the things you think she would like-video on Youtube, concert of a certain band, etc.
