The first thing you need to do is send him the message that his negative behavior towards you is not the way to communicate with you. Don't express anger or show that you're upset. Make it clear that you cannot communicate when he is yelling at you.

The next thing you should do is show him that you don't want to win an argument, that instead you want there to be peace between you. If he says you are wrong, admit to anything you have done wrong and tell him that you are sorry for it. Don't attack him back or boil over with emotion or anger. When he sees that his agression is one sided, it will begin to subside.

The last thing you should try to do is to talk to him. Ask him why he yells at you, why he doesn't want to be a good brother to you. It will be hard at first, but trust me when I say that everyone is human and has the capacity to talk things out with others. Sometimes, all it takes is time, love, and persistence.

Of course, a lot of these things may be invalidated if your brother abuses drugs or alcohol, or has a serious problem. In this case, he should get professional help.

A girl should invite some of her friends over and give her brother a makeover and dress him up like a girl when her brother isn't as kind as a brother should be and when he always yells at her. She should also have the girls take his hands and ankles and carry him to her room.

This is if you have a younger brother and you are the older sister

Talk with your parents about this - and then with him, if your parents won't. This doesn't have to be a problem; just remember that he probably isn't really angry with you but is more likely just "venting" about something totally unrelated to you.

Just let him know how you really feel when he yells, and then ask him to stop. If he refuses, it will be by his own choice and you can then ignore his yelling without feeling responsible for it.

Best of luck to you!

Treate him the same way he treats you. He eventually will get tired of you treating him like he did to you. Then that is when you tell him how you felt when he treated you unfairly. That is how you get his attention.
