Religion does not kill people, people kill people.
I agree.
Did I know that magicians Penn and Teller don't believe in the Bible?
Yes. They are very public about this.
How stupid can they be?
Hold on a moment... Did you just call someone stupid? Isn't there a verse where Jesus says not to do that very thing?
I guess we'll have to lump them in with the rest of the idiots like Richard Dawkins and Carl Sagan.
Now you are calling people idiots?
"You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, 'Do not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.' But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to his brother, 'Raca,' is answerable to the Sanhedrin. But anyone who says, 'You fool!' will be in danger of the fire of hell." Matthew 5:21-22
I never saw anything so disrespectful in my whole life.
Do you have any idea how disrespectful this question is? You are calling people stupid and idiots IN THE NAME OF CHRIST?!?
Too many people are lukewarm when it comes to Christianity. I at least respect Penn and Teller for obeying Revelation 3:15 - "I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other!"
By speaking in the name of Christianity while actually disobeying its commands your actions are truly lukewarm. Please repent, otherwise you might find yourself being judged more harshly than the atheists you so despise.

I enjoy Penn and Teller’s entertainment a lot and I love their witty putdowns of extremists on both ends of the political spectrum. Yes the lambaste hippies and environmental extremists on the left, but they also show how idiotic religious fanatics are on the right. Just look up Penn Jillette and his comments on conservative Christians to see how scathing his rhetoric can be. Its nice to see balance in humor.

First of all, please don't call people 'idiots' in the name of Chistianity. Please. It solidifies the belief of those who feel that we are the idiots. It goes both ways. You won't win anything by name calling.
I apologize for the length of this answer in advance. I live in Las Vegas and read the following article in our local paper. I stopped being a fan of most of these performers after reading this :
Roast Attendees Take Umbrage With Stunt By Penn & Teller -article on their sacrilegious stunt
Las Vegas Review Journal ^ | Jan 17 2003 | Norm Clarke
A sacrilegious stunt by Penn & Teller that offended some at a major magicians convention was defended Thursday by fellow local headliners.
A group walked out of a roast of Amazing Johnathan on Monday after Teller, dressed as Christ on a full-sized cross, entered the room on a cart. A midget dressed as an angel performed a simulated sex act on the near-naked Teller.
Penn Jillette, in a Roman gladiator costume, unveiled the scene by pulling away a "Shroud of Turin" that covered the cross.
Rick Neiswonger, a longtime magician and local marketing executive, said "the majority" of the 400 who attended the roast were offended.
"They (organizers) warned everybody that something offensive was going to happen, but my God, where do you draw the line? I've seen Friar's Club ... Sam Kinison and Andrew Dice Clay, but this was beyond bad taste."
The roast was part of the four-day World Magic Seminar at the Riviera.
Monte Carlo headliner Lance Burton, a roaster, addressed the controversy during the awards luncheon finale Wednesday that drew about 1,000.
Reached Thursday, Burton said, "I told them, `You were warned ahead of time.' It was a roast; it was held late at night (midnight). I absolutely, positively did not apologize.
"I said Penn & Teller, Siegfried & Roy, Mac King, Amazing Johnathan and I all have different styles. That's good; that's what makes it an art form."
He added, "Penn & Teller are my dear friends and I would take a bullet for them, and you can write that," said Burton.
Amazing Johnathan said he was aware that a number of "gospel magicians" walked out and raised cane.
"This was performance art," said Johnathan, who moves to a new, open-ended run at the Flamingo on Saturday. "I know that Penn is a practicing atheist, and I agree with him that Christianity can be dangerous. Look at the Trade Center. That was done in the name of religion."
Penn & Teller declined comment

First off they are skeptics as well as Illusionists. Also if you see no difference in people and group them merely as believing and non believing then you are very narrow in your focus. As for I never saw anything so disrespectful in all my life someone has taken some lessons in being overly dramatic. As for religion not being bad it is clearly the cause of wars, witch hunts, the crusades, genocide, and intolerance. You might take a good writing course and learn to narrow your focus on what you are asking and then make your personal comments.

Penn Gillette has a very sharp intellectual mind. Unfortunately, application of knowledge and logic to the Bible is painful for many believers who have left their analytical abilities at the door when it comes to religion.
There's lots of money to be made in evangelism. Just look at Jim Baker, Jimmy Swagart and others who have promoted themselves and their monetary and other lusts by fleesing the flock.

I do agree that an idea does not kill people...but people can use the idea to kill others, or motivate one person to kill another. If you think that it is only in the past that this was being done, you need to do a little research. Check out the skin heads.

Penn and Teller are not idiots. I'm a Christian, and I like Penn and Teller. They're funny, outrageous, and not afraid to speak their minds. In the same way that I have the right to speak freely about my faith, they have the right to speak about their lack of faith. I don't like to label people who don't share my beliefs as idiots, especially if those people happen to be as obviously intelligent as Penn and Teller.

Hmmm. There's a lot of killing glorified in the bible, koran and other religious texts.
Plus, teaching followers to love and trust only other followers and that benefits only come to 'true believers' is automatically setting up a confrontation.
Christianity is inherently violent, exclusionary, and insulting to non-Christians, in my opinion.
And don't get me started on the different groups of Christians and their inborn lack of regard for one another.

The falling away.
The coming of the anti-christs.
I would say that it is good.
Anti means against.
It is happening and it can not be stopped. What is written will happen.
You need to be comforted.
1 Th 4:16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first.
1 Th 4:17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and thus we shall always be with the Lord.
1 Th 4:18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.
