All a hangover really is the bodys need is water so if you wanna make an elixor try this one:
2 cups of ice
1 cup of orange juice
1 cup of grapefruit juice
10 grapes
blend ingredients together in a blender
but if ya have hangovers often then store some in the freezer and just pop it in the microwaver for 30 seconds.

** Just a tip to prevent the room from spinning lay on a couch, on stomache and put 1 foot on the floor and 1 hand on the floor**
Good Luck!

Hangovers are caused by dehydration, as alcohol consumption causes excess water loss, either by perspiration, or excretion.

Drinking large quantities of liquid, NOT alcohol, will help greatly, and taking an analgesic, such as aspirin, ibuprofen or equivalent, will help greatly to relieve symptoms.

The best way to cure hangover is to prevent acquiring one in the first place. Space your drinks out, and alternate alcohol laden drinks with non alcoholic ones. In other words, drink a few sodas and iced teas, juices or bottled waters spaced between your drinks.

There's only so much alcohol your body can metabolize, after that you just get more and more inebriated, and it becomes impossible to burn off the alcohol you consume.

My personal strategy--I love to party while not even getting drunk, this way I can remember all the stupidities my friends endured, and remind them the next day what idiots they became last night! And I have much more fun, as I'm not even ill the next day... Whoot!

So, you've had a few too many alcoholic drinks and you're feeling kind of woozy. That's because, once it's consumed, alcohol is quickly dispersed into a person's bloodstream. It then travels throughout the entire body. Drinking too much alcohol can cause slurred speech, blurry vision, difficulty in walking, slow reactions, impaired judgment, and many other side effects. Now, you need homemade cures for a hangover.

One of the most popular cures for a hangover is to drink hot, black, caffeinated coffee. The caffeine will actually help dull a pounding headache. It will also rev up your body and work with the alcohol to further dehydrate it. Instead of drinking black coffee for your hangover, try drinking a large glass of fruit juice instead. The sugar content in fruit juice will aid in your body's attempt to get rid of the alcohol. Fruit drinks also contain Vitamin C. Vitamin C is an anti-oxidant that will also do the same job.

Since alcohol actually dehydrates your body, one of the best homemade cures for a hangover is to simply drink plenty of water. Water will not, as it's believed, make you feel drunk again. Instead, water will rehydrate your body and help flush the alcohol and other toxins out of your system faster.

Some people recommend drinking Gatorade(TM) or Pedialyte(TM) instead of plain water. The Gatorade contains sodium which will help get your body hydrated again. Pedialyte contains electrolytes. Your body needs electrolytes in order to maintain cell impulses.

If your stomach can tolerate it, another of the most efficient homemade cures for a hangover is to eat a good, healthy meal. Lean steak, eggs, toast, and hash browns can help cure the typical hypoglycemia, or low blood sugar, that drinking too much alcohol can cause. A good meal can also help replenish valuable vitamins and minerals that your body needs.

Stay away from fatty or fried foods. They can easily upset your already-nauseated stomach. Not only that, but your liver is already trying to rid your body of the alcohol. It doesn't need fatty or fried foods to deal with on top of that.

Cheese and crackers can help you feel better when you have a hangover from drinking too much alcohol too. The protein and the carbohydrates will help raise your low blood sugar. The crackers will also help settle your upset stomach.

If you can even think of eating solid food, try drinking chicken soup or bouillon.

Siberian Ginseng is a common herb that's sold in health food stores across the country. It not increases your energy level, but Siberian Ginseng helps the human body return to normal. It has a sure place in a list of homemade cures for a hangover.

Taking B-complex vitamins is another winner when it comes to homemade cures for a hangover. B vitamins are known for their "stress-relieving" properties. They can also help your body metabolize alcohol better, which will curtail your hangover.

To tone down the pounding inside your head, you can take two aspirins. Or you can take Alka-Seltzer(TM). Alka-Seltzer is actually an over-the-counter product that will help you in three ways: it contains a pain reliever. Plus, it will help settle your upset stomach. It also contains sodium to help with your body's dehydration problem. A cold rag laid across your forehead can also help relieve a headache caused from drinking too much alcohol.

Although there are many homemade cures for a hangover, the best cure is time. As the saying goes, "Time heals all wounds". And, in time, your body will cure itself and your hangover will become just a blurry memory. Unless, of course, you drink too many alcoholic drinks again soon.

First of all, I would start with a glass of tomato juice or V-8. To that, add a splash of worchester sauce, fresh ground pepper, celery salt, a splash of lime juice & a teaspoon of A-1. Shake well & serve over ice. Garnish w/ a celery stick & salt rim if you like.........It's the only drink I've found that helps!!
