Unless the income was from self-employment, $700 is not enough to require filing a tax return. If any Federal income tax was withheld, he can only claim his refund if he files. The 1 page 1040 EZ should be sufficient to claim his refund.

I think the limit for this year is $3,400 gross income before $1 in tax is due. Anything less than 3.4k you don't file.

yes of course....i mean he should but if he doesn't want to that'll still be ok.i made only 200 but they gave me money back
