Believing in a God you cannot see?
Or being offended by a God you do not believe in??
(saw this as an answer to an earlier question, and had to ask.)

OH, by the way:
PASCAL'S WAGER!!!!!!!!!
(Now all you sweet little Christian bashers can go have yet another drink...on me this tilme. Maybe it will mellow you out a bit...we can always hope!)

OK, so if you are "not offended by God", you are just here to offend people who do believe in Him?
How boring your life must be!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think I've heard anyone *ever* say they were "offended by God."

Ever.

I am not an atheist ... so I am not defending atheism. I'm only suggesting that you misunderstand atheism.

(Oh, and Pascal's Wager is such a bad argument, I'm surprised that people still use it.)

I am not offended by imaginary beings, e.g. gods, ghosts, Bigfoot, tooth fairies, Santa Claus, etc. Some believers in such stuff try to offend anyone who does not share their childish beliefs, however. It is obnoxious humans, not imaginary gods, that may offend me. Some think Pascal made his wager with a humorous intent. Did you know that?

No one's offended by a God they don't believe in. Just by offensive people who pretend to believe in him.

whatever lady. I am not offended by a god I don't believe in, I am offended by followers of that god discriminating against homosexuals because their old books says so, I am offended by followers of that god trying to sneak religion into science classes, and I am offended by them trying to worm their crap into affairs of state.

We're not offended by God. God doesn't exist.

When we're offended, it's the superstitious nutcases that are passing laws based on myths, superstitious nutcases trying to indoctrinate our kids into their fiction, superstitious nutcases starting wars on other superstitious nutcases for having slightly different superstitions, and yet other superstitious nutcases blowing themselves up that offend us.

And we also get offended at mildly superstitous people defending the nutcases by saying, basically, "Well, at least they're superstitious like us, and you have to at least respect their superstition."

God doesn't offend us. God believers do.

Calm down, don't do anything crazy, stay away from sharp objects...here, hold onto a Bible, it will soothe your nerves until we can find you some meds...then the halucinations and delusions will go away. Remember, your at Step 1! Here, I'll help...repeat after me: "Hi, I'm angeltress, I'm a christian and I have a problem."

Ok everyone together, "HI angeltress!" Big smiles everyone!

feel better?

P.S. thanks for the drinks!
