He didn't. Christ said He is the Son of God. and He said that our God is the Father, not the Son....for I go to my God and your God, My Father and your Father.
they were one in the flesh but not quite the same as a woman and man at marriage become one. that is a different kind of oneness for when you see the husband you don't see the wife and vice versa but Jesus says when you have seen me you have seen the father. they were two individuals but only one of them is God and the other is the Son of God, not God the Son. they were one flesh/one body. jesus was a dual being. it was God's body yet it was christ's body, it was God's blood and it was christ's blood

Actually he never did it he is the son of God the allmighty (luke 1:32) the most high has a name Jehovah (Psalms 83:18) the Most high is a god and Jesus is a god but the first one is almighty and the second one is mighty but not almighty (Isaiah 9:6) they don´t have the same power or authority accordint to Jesus (John 14:28) they work together but that doesn´t mean they are the same person.
Revelation 1:8 Do not apply to Jesus is talking about Jehovah if you want to see it read revelation 21:22 said the almighty and the lamb the lamb is Jesus the other one is Jehovah.
Jesus existed in heaven yes before abraham because he is the first creation of God (reveletaion 3:14) that is why we call him son of God, after God creates the first creation he creates the rest of the thing with his help (Colossians 1:15-16) and Proverb 8:22-30

Jesus is never recorded in the Bible as saying the exact words, “I am God.” That does not mean, however, that He did not proclaim that He is God. Take for example Jesus’ words in John 10:30, “I and the Father are one.” At first glance, this might not seem to be a claim to be God. However, look at the Jews’ reaction to His statement, “We are not stoning you for any of these, replied the Jews, but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God” (John 10:33). The Jews understood Jesus’ statement to be a claim to be God. In the following verses, Jesus never corrects the Jews by saying, “I did not claim to be God.” That indicates Jesus was truly saying He was God by declaring, “I and the Father are one” (John 10:30). John 8:58 is another example. Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, before Abraham was born, I am!" Again, in response, the Jews take up stones in an attempt to stone Jesus (John 8:59). Why would the Jews want to stone Jesus if He hadn’t said something they believed to be blasphemous, namely, a claim to be God?

Being born into a christian family doesnt make you a christian. He did say that he was the Son of God.
Mark 14: 61-62
But Jesus kept quiet and would not say a word. Again the High Priest questioned him, "Are you the Messiah, the Son of the Blessed God?"
"I am," answered Jesus, "and you will all see the Son of Man seated on the right of the Almighty and coming with the clouds of heaven!"

Nowhere!
Your belief that Jesus is God is based on the Catholic Athanasian Creed, not the Bible. In part, it says:
"And the Catholic Faith is this, that we worship one God in Trinity and Trinity in Unity. So there is One Father, not Three Fathers; one Son, not Three Sons; One Holy Ghost, not Three Holy Ghosts. And in this Trinity none is afore or after Other, None is greater or less than Another, but the whole Three Persons are Co-eternal together, and Co-equal."
If the Athanasian Creed is Bible-based, is there clearcut evidence of it in the teachings of Christ? Did Jesus ever tell his disciples that God was triune, and that he was God the Son, the second person of the trinity? Did he ever say he was equal to either the Father or the holy spirit? Did Jesus ever come out and say: "I am God. Worship me." NEVER. He called his Father the ONLY true God, and that he (Jesus) was the Son of God, NOT God himself. (John 17:3; 10:36)

John's Gospel focuses more on this than any other book, with over 40 references to the divinity of Jesus. John 1:1 explicitly states this nature. "IN THE beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself."

Joh 18:6 As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground.
Jesus was convicted of blasphemy. The Jews knew God was I am.
Mr 14:64 Ye have heard the blasphemy: what think ye? And they all condemned him to be guilty of death.

Jesus spoke of Almighty God as being "a Spirit, who must be worshipped in spirit and in truth." Jesus was not that.
In the "Our Father," Jesus taught his followers to pray to The One Who gave him life--The Creator Himself. He did not teach them to pray to him. Bottom line: Jesus had a Lord and Savior, The Only One to be worshipped and glorified at all times.

John 10:30 I and my Father are one.
Even the Jewish leaders understood Jesus was claiming to be the Son of God. That is why they had Him crucified for blasphemy.
