The reason I ask is that I recently saw a creationist post claiming that paleontologists all over the world were rethinking how they have typically arranged dinosaur bones in museums.

No source was left, but with careful googling the closest news story I could find was that one museum was redoing its dinosaur fossil collection in response to recent discoveries. Most of the changes they were making were very minor. Hardly a challenge to paleontology or evolution!

The post was so exaggerated, so dishonest, that it could not be dismissed as some less-educated person misunderstanding a news story they saw on TV. (Which happens all the time and is less worrisome.) Instead, this creationist was clearly trying to sway public opinion (on YA at least) with a lie.

So in your opinion, how many creationists are just uneducated people who we could actually pity a bit, and how many are bona fide liars who think they can advance the cause of Jesus by bearing false witness?

Notice that no where in the question is it implied that all creationists are the same.

The anchoring question is a little too simple (to fit the space limit) so you have to read the text to understand that I don't assume all creationists are the same.

I think that people like Kent Hovind and Ken Ham as well as the Muslim Creationist Harun Yahya are liars who are dleberately misrepresenting to further their own profits.
Their followers are simple dupes.

No, I think evolutionists have put entirely too much faith in a theory that still lacks proof. There's no question that dinosaurs existed. However, the real question is whether they preceded humans or coexisted. I tend toward the latter.

Evolutionists have agendas too and certainly try to sway public opinion. And please, just because one is taught over the other in PUBLIC schools, doesn't make it correct. Pluto was a planet when I was a kid. Turns out they were wrong about that.

Oil was going to be gone according to the alarmists in the early 70s. And it's a "fossil fuel" - at least in theory. Yet oil is still here and there's no evidence of it running out. So perhaps at some point, they will tell the truth that it naturally occurs from processes in the core of the earth and is not the result of decayed dinosaurs.

Let me clearly state that I am a creationist.

I am college educated, majoring in Math, with enough science electives I could teach high school chemistry and physics. While majoring in Math I was called to be a Pastor.

And the number of scientific discoveries since I got out of high school boggle the mind.

For example: Human DNA has 10^87 power possbile combitions. For that to occur randomly in only 4.5 billion years is mathematically impossible.

There are 3600 seconds per hour.

24 hours in a day meaning we have 86400 second per day.

365.25 days per year gives us 31,557,600 seconds in the average year.

In seconds therefore, multipling that by 4.5 Billion years we find that the earth is aproximately
142,009,200,000,000,000 seconds old.

That's about 1.420092 x 10^17 seconds.

If evolution was able to correctly and randomly guess one correct value each second, it would take another 10^70 seconds to complete the process.

How many seconds is 10^70?

That's a 1 followed by 70 zeros. Or.

10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000

000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000

000,000,000,000,000,000 seconds.

Keep in mind that Yahoo is trimming off some of my zeros so you won't see all 70 zeros which I did type in.

So you see Human DNA is so complex that there has not been nearly enough time.

We are at least:

316,880,000,000, 000,000,000

000,000,000,000, 000,000,000,000

000,000,000,000,000,000 years short.

or about 3.1688 x 10^62 years short.

Keep in mind that Yahoo is trimming off some of my zeros so you won't see all 58 zeros which I did type in.

Provided of course that evolution corrected guessed each DNA value at the rate of 1 per second.

Now about some other things:

The moon is moving further a away from the earth at a rate of a few feet per years, so if we go backwards in time 6,000 years to the day of creation, that isn't a problem.

However if we go backwards in time a few million years, then the moon would be touching the earth.

The earth is also slowing down as it spins about on its axis, so by today's clocks, 18 million years ago the earth would have been spinning around at a rate of more than one revolution per second.

That would have caused all the water in our oceans to fly off into space due to centrifical force.

Would you like me to continue?

I could talk for an hour just about what Nasa learned on their 9 trips to the moon in the late 60's and early 70's.

All of which show that the age of the moon is on order of 10,000 years old. Yet prior to our going to the moon, all assummed the moon was about the same age as the earth.

It takes more blind faith to believe in religion of Evolution than the Bible which is the one true source of all true Science.

Well both. The lay creationist, the one who blindly believes the hogwash, is lacking education to understand what is being told to him.

But the creationist who is putting out the creationist propaganda is educated and knows they are pushing an agenda in the most dishonest of ways. By lying to the people that trust them.

Since you seem to be an open minded enquirer. I would like to check out these two books. Evolution a theory in crisis by agnostic Michael Denton and the Icons of evolution by Jonathan Wells. Both men of science. The second book was criticized by Eugenie Scott the executive director for the National Academy of Science Education. Although she admitted it is technically correct. After reading Icons you will be left wondering who is perpetrating a fraud.

If Darwin was 100% correct there would be no stupid or ugly people alive right now. That has nothing to with Jesus. He wasn't uneducated nor a liar nor a sinner. He was a Rabbi, and that would be impossible without superb education. You'll never meet an uneducated Rabbi. Why don't you ask some Jewish people if they believe in creation, since the "story" is in the Torah, their holy book?????

Creationists are a very dependent bunch, unwilling to accept responsibility for their own lives, and as well, I think, traumatized as children when faith was pushed into their innocent heads... christian as well as any other faith based religion. If or when they ever get educated, it is tuff for them to let go of the god idea. Some, of course, are just liars,--as in televangelists-- and after the $$ it can bring by duping the stupid, and superstitious. They are , I believe a mixed bag, but all, I believe, are uneducated in the truest sense of the word. Sky daddies, fairies, and miracles are just simply contrary experience. And anything coming close to a miracle has always a logical answer...

Innocently uneducated ? Sounds like you are.

Think you should explore the "whole" matter of proofs from both sides to find truth. You can't depend on truth from man, tv, or much else but honestly without "pre disposition" really research things for yourself, never depend on media., also who you ask and "where" they are biased on both sides of the issue, then draw a "Berean" conclusion as the Bible says to do in seeking truth, meditate and weigh the evidence.

You start should be Genesis, then go to all the scientific things you have been taught as proofs by fallible men.

The Bible says men walked with dinosours. Read the book that tells how life will be "ahead of time", the beginning to the end.

Mans science ? Start with the "drawings" of evolution,
ask who drew them and why and the proof of the actual and separate "finds" and by whom, monkeys to man and question that validity, proven fraud 30 to 35 years ago, yet still taught in school, man's ego takes about a hundred years to openly and so so gradually admit they errored.

The book the Holy Bible will tell you "this is how it will be" how it started, the middle, and also how it will all end., pretty bold huh ? Will science be that bold ?

This is how God says that "THIS BOOK" is different from all books mankind will author, it will tell us and lead us the right way, predict the future, man need not to search any farther, but says he "will" yet never know the truth unless we trust in Him.

ummm.... I am going to answer your question with a series of questions, and I will logically explain how creationism is accurate. Does the world exist? If it exists, would you consider the world to be a physical entity? If it's a physical entity, where did it come from? Do you know of any physical entities in our world that werent created in one form or another? The very meaning of create is to bring something into being. Can you come up with any other way that something can come into existance? Think about it.

I'm very educated, a nurse in fact, in my opinion it is the Christians who are uneducated, at least about their own bible.(Something I myself at least have read, and made my own decisions about,), I cannot recall how many times I've asked a self proclaimed Christian a question about the bible just to get an "I dunno", answer. The least you could do is read the book, instead of following some preacher blindly. The same preacher who preaches to you on Sunday, then goes to the hotel and snorts coke, with his mistress.
