Only after too many martinis. You can make sure to skip the monkey level by stopping when you get to the pink elephant stage.

It's rubbish and it is a concept born out of racism, they used to think that monkeys evolved into black Africans and white people evolved from Africans, therefore making whites more evolved.
It is rubbish and there is no proof whatsoever.
Evolution sparked the whole eugenics thing.
Infact the theory that we came from another planet seems more reasonable than monkeys to me.
But that is what you get when British scientists that beleive in queen and country rather than god get to be placed on the world stage as...scientists.
The rubish that came out of the British/Euro empires will be with us in the West for a long time, other parts of the world have no idea what we are on about.

Well, look at a frog, or butterfly. There's a quick example of evolution on fast-forward. Both creatures start out as totally different animals. Also, we DIDN'T come from monkeys, Monkeys and humans share a common ancestor.

1. Did we evolve from monkeys?
Humans did not evolve from monkeys. Humans are more closely related to modern apes than to monkeys, but we didn't evolve from apes, either. Humans share a common ancestor with modern African apes, like gorillas and chimpanzees. Scientists believe this common ancestor existed
5 to 8 million years ago. Shortly thereafter, the species diverged into two separate lineages. One of these lineages ultimately evolved into gorillas and chimps, and the other evolved into early human ancestors called hominids.

Science doesn't say that we descended from monkeys. Why so many people repeats such silly and false statement? We all humans and other primates are descendent from the same primordial animal. The primates and us are cousins. We share the same ancertor. There are many fossils that proves that. Why so many people resist to accept this discovery of science?

Well, I don't know if you're being sarcastic or not... but man did not descend from monkeys. We descended from a common ancestor, as did our now extinct cousins, homo erectus and homo habilis. We think the first step towards "mankind" as we knows it was Australopithecus. Hope this helps.
