This is what works for me. I have really thin and fine hair.
Brush your hair back then put in a headband which holds back all of her hair. Keep the headband in. After that, brush it again and then gather all your hair and put it into the ponytail shape. Next make sure there is no bumps, and if there is, smooth it back with your fingers. Then tie it back with a ponytail holder. Lastly, take out the headband and the ponytail should be fine!

Well I have very long, fine hair, so I know how it can be hard to get that done... I get a waterbottle, and spray it with water so that way, I can smooth out the bumps. I use a brush, but that's just me, and I brush it all around and if I need more water to smooth out more bumps, I'll spray more in. After that, I use one hand to hold it in place and I use the other for the rubberband. To keep my hair nice and neat all day and to keep it all together, I use Tresseme hair spray.

try putting it up upside-down. if there are still bumps, use a comb to flatten them out and push them back to where your ponytail holder is. then, pull out the elastic while keeping your other hand on the ponytail--you will have eliminated all the bumps and you can make a new ponytail. next, tie the elastic around again after you've smoothed the bumps back. you should have a bump-free ponytail!

Hahaha that's the age that I started getting finicky with my hair. It's best to have her figure out how it'll work with her hair... I like to shower before and then put up my hair in a ponytail... it eliminates the amount of flyaways and looseness there can be. Use a boar bristle brush.

practice! but right now messy ponytails and updos are in so its not to big of a deal presently. but if she insists on the perfect pony wetting hair first makes it much easier. and the more she does it the easier it gets!
i hope this helped!

Flip your head upside down then use a brush and pull it up. It takes a little bit of practice but she will get it down sooner than later.
