My first computer was a Commodore 64, then my second computer was a PC with Windows 95. What a giant leap that was for the world. Then came 98, huge improvement on 95, then I bought Windows ME, my computer was running better and better. People were not too happy with Microsoft, but that was to be expected, they were number 1 in the world and of course nobody likes people on top. I then bought Windows XP and while I had a few problems at first, in no time my computer became a very efficient machine. I could only laugh at these stupid Apple computer commercials. Then came Windows Vista, I got it the first day that it came out and ran home to install it over my Windows XP. I don't know what I was expecting, but for sure it would be miles ahead from XP. Well my computer crashed the first day, lost most of my stuff my computer became so slow that I started to miss my Commodore 64. Now 3 months later, these stupid Apple comercials don't look that stupid anymore. Vista is the worst OS.

to reply to Cristi@n, yes I did read the specifications for Vista and yes my computer exceeded in everything, my computer is only 6 months old and has all the current hardware and software. Vista is simply an horrible OS. I am sure that in 1-2 years it will be excellent, however at this time it looks more like it is still in a Beta form. Microsoft should be ashame of having it released at this time, but then again they had to please their shareholders.

Yeah I agree 100% I had the same exact thing happen to me with vista and it was on a BRAND NEW COMPUTER. With vista it crashed on the first day. Vista is a joke and it does slow your computer down big time due to all the memory needed to run it. I don't have the disc's but Id do anything to go back to xp.

Yes it is. With all of the "security" features you can't even do ANYTHING. It blocks everything without even asking you! I'm staying on XP (until I get enough money for a new Power Mac.) It uses a lot less resources and it works just as well. Why anyone would want to use Vista is beyond me.

I kinda believe like you do. If you have an Apple computer you have to have a windows machine to take up the slack. I have a Vista machine too. You gotta have a XP machine to do what it "REFUSES to do.

Well, rumor has it that Microsoft fired all their Vista staff because they couldn't get Vista out on time and had the service pack guys finish it...and it's starting to sound more and more believable every day! lol

The problem with PC's is that they run windows. Buy yourself an iMac, you won't regret it.

It appears they released something prematurely.
