Because we believe that there is only one God. Believing in Zeus would mean that we believed in other gods as well, which we don't.

Zeus never died on a Cross for my sins. Zesus wasn't raised from the dead and seen by over 500 people at one time -- many of whom were living at the time that Paul and the writers of the Gospel were still alive. Any one of them could have stepped forward if the apostles were lying and corrected their story, but none of them did.
Zeus' followers were not willing to risk their lives for a lie. Jesus' followers weren't, either, until they saw their resurrected Lord and knew that He had been telling the truth about Who He was all along. Then they were willing to lay down their lives to spread the Gospel because they were convinced that He was the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
Zeus is known to be a mythological figure. Christ is known to be a real Person, as proven by references to him by writers and historians.
And finally, Zeus has pretty well faded into the background, which is what you would expect of a mythological deity whose worshippers are by and large dead by now. Jesus is very much alive and still worshipped by His followers, all these centuries later.
Which is exactly what you would expect of a religion that is founded in the truth and whose God is the sovereign Lord of the universe.

To answer your first question: I don't believe in Zeus because the theology surrounding his myth is illogical and inconsistent. There are many false conceptions of the one true living God and various other gods. Just because there is a variety, this doesn't mean that there cannot be a true God or that my belief in Him is incorrect. We call that non-sequitur reasoning.
To answer your second question: No, I don't understand why you don't believe in God. It's not a necessary logical conclusion from your primary question.

Mythological accounts tell of Zeus seducing goddesses and earthly women and of his fathering a host of illegitimate children.
This is loose conduct, something the true God would not accept.
Zeus was plagued by incessant scolding from his wife Hera, that he complained bitterly concerning this, before the assembled deities.
The true god would not act in this way.
You don't believe in the Christian God .....fine.
However, all that means is:
YOU don't believe in the Christian God.
It doesn't mean the Christian God does not exist.

I don't know why judeo-christians don't but as a disciple of Yezua, ZEUS was just a roman concoction conjured up from a god of Egypt, just as much of their "other" gods........IMAGINARY

as a pagan, I'd rather wear a cross around my neck for protection than what was traditionally worn for Zeus--even lorena bobbit threw hers away when it started to smell

Can you explain why you don't believe in the one true God? Do you understand now why we don't give you much credence?
