Sorry your both victims of misinformation.... your feeling it now, things went TERRIABLY wrong and you want to know why. Well the fact is your friend is the best person to become your lover, ITS NATURAL!!! Unfrontunely you guys are going aganist your very nature and boy doesn't burn? Trust me it burns him to, but society says don't get with your friend it well ruin the friendship!!! Nope afraid not growing together ruins friendships and thats exactly what happen to you guys. Learn from this, he was only doing what he thought was right, just like you, and you could still salvage a relationship. Just understand who is better to start a deep, intimate relationship with your bestfriend or a stranger? Because society likes to think its suppose to be a stranger, now what does your heart say?

Well, the first time he hurt you, I don't think there was any excuse for it. He should have just been a man and told you how he felt...good or bad. It's likely he just wanted to be friends in the first place...nothing more.

But, you did mention to him that you are over him. I think that you were probably bluffing and trying to "play hard to get" to make him jealous or something. The problem is that it didn't work. There is one thing that you have to remember about guys...if you tell us something, we think you mean what you say. For example, if a guy asks how your are feeling and you say "fine". We assume you really are fine. From a women's perspective though, that usually means that they are peeved off at us for some reason and are expected to know why. Bottomline, say what you mean. Sorry to digress.

Anyway, you need to decide whether you want to be friends or not. Either way, you need to get over him...if you can do that and still be friends is up to you. Perhaps in the future though, he will realize how much you care and how much he cares for you. You being there for him may help him realize that...but don't expect anything to happen. If something is meant to happen, it will.
