51% of the Federal Budget goes on financing wars, mainly in the Middle East, on Clusterbombing and killing mostly innocent civilans. I was shocked to discover this. I wondered how you feel that your taxes is spent on the anhialation of countless thousands of innocent civilans who's only wish in life is to live in peace? Meanwhile the Arms Industry is laughing all the way to their Offshore Bank, Bush included.

Brian you sad deluded little man..... there's no need for insults. you know as we all know that we are being shafted by this current administration.

No we are not as you say 'terrorist sympathisers' you seem deranged to try and justify that this govt. is spending 51% of our taxes our budget on defence, on the murder of innocents, 'Shock and Awe', clusterboming mainly women and children. I guess you either work for or have share in the Arms Industry which explains you irrationality and lame attempt at justifying gencide and mass slaughter. either that or you are not too bright.

For 2007, the budget was raised to a total of US$ 532.8 Billion.

Army Girl you sound sad and very bitter. I feel sorry for you. You refer to 'welfare scum'. Let us hope that you will not return home one day on crutches or physically maimed one day, and are not in need of that welfare. Would you consider yourself 'scum' for accepting it should you be disabled?

2007-04-15 06:35:24 · update #2

Balsabul how bitter you sound. Wake up yoour taxes are further enriching the Arms Insustry to the tune of Billions every year. Get yourself an eduaction. Whilst I realise the army is the way out for those running from something or seeking a vocation, there's no justification to spent our taxes on a war that is illegal in the first place. Get yourself an education before you insult people with your ignorance.

Deleonri, you are wrong. i don't know where you're getting your facts from, prhaps Fox News or CNN, so that explains it.

if you read more or were a little more enlightened you would know that many hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqi lives have been lost siince we invaded their country illegaly. This is a disgrace and will go down in history as a crime against humanity. Meanwhile our $ is devalued by half, child povery has spiralled and the education budget has suffered since this war hungry adminsitration is more concerned with increasing the Defence budget regardless of loss of life.

2007-04-15 06:55:09 · update #4

Deleonri so you support the slaughter of innocents and the ever increasing defence budget. Do you also support the abuse torture and captitvity without trial that has been carried out in iraqi prisons and at Guantanamo Bay?

Chappye...so enlighten me then. You say I came up with limited research, where are your figures? let's see your research. We would all like to see it.

Chappye ..regardless of 'attachments' the actual Federal Defence Budget for 2007 was $532.8 Billion. that's a heckuva lot of Clusterbombs.

Sci..actually you're the idiot and the Croc! You claim in your profile that you're '50 and an Underachiever'. Having read yur ignorant hostile response it figures that you''re 50 angry and unemployed!. No need however to unleash your venom or anger in Yahoo answers when you clearly are not bright enough to submit an intelligent informed response.

2007-04-15 08:07:12 · update #8

Balsabul, your angry response clearly reveals you as a sad and ignorant old man.

You need to get yourself an education and stop being so very bitter. Your taxes (if you are honest enough to pay them) are being swallowed up by the ever increasing arms and defence budget. In 2007 it was $532.8Billion! Do you research and stpo being so crabby about what you obviously no Jack s...t about you crabby old man.

Bart, You refer to VA or Veteran's benefits, but you're wrong. Most Veteran's are relegated to the scrap heap of society once they are no longe rof use to the miliatary. Our streets are lined with the casualties of war, homeless and destitute. I volunteer with the Salvation Arm, I see them daily, we feed and clothe them, offer them a bed for the night. You should wake up! and stop lecturing on what you do not know about.

I hate it! If it were a just and honest war then so be it. I was all for the spending to go after bin ladin.. but when it became Bush's grudge war then I went against it.

His war is costing us billions and way too many lives. No reason for it.. none at all!

Several more years of these and America won't be a world power anymore. Can America can take on Iran in 2008? Probably. What about China when it invades Taiwan around 2012? Don't think so!

You, however, are a propagandist. Most of the innocent life being lost in Iraq is perpetrated by Muslims against Muslims. Even the international media is in agreement about that! And if 100% of the budget were spent for the defence of these innocents, I would be all for it.

I believe that we must have a strong Armed Forces and continue to invest in Hi-Tech equipment. I resent that we have an Army today that is being burnt out in Iraq. We are financially ruining our country in Iraq and our future is being
harmed by this administration. I'm not sure that it can be said that WE are annihilating countless thousands of Iraqis and all they want is peace. What they want is the religion that they worship to be the government of their country and they will kill all those of the other Sects to accomplish that goal.

Let's just say that your figures are right..."51% spent on Defense."

Now to me, that sound's like WAY to much to spend on defending little Taliban Warresisters, sympathizers such as you.

In defense of America, you're just not worth the cost or death of even one Soldier!

Edit to your Edit: I see I must of really hit a live nerve with you. As with most Lib's, they squeal the loudest when a nerve is touched. In your pin head mind, I may not be as educated as you think you are...how many paychecks do you write a week for employee's? Would guess none.

As for myself, I don't write any pay checks. I pay someone to write over 500 checks a week to employee's. And if you know what a Citation X is...that's the way I travel...So you see, I'm just an old bitter man with not much education. One that does not have the ability to stomach losers such as you.

You net worth in humanity is not worth the life of one good soldier!

7% for Iraq and Afghanistan, 20% for past military (Kosavo) and 31 % for current military. It's much different when you tell the FULL story, right? I see where 32% of the total USA budget could be cut right now. Welfare.
The most interesting thing is how there are TWO pie charts on your link, shows how figures lie and liars figure.

Do you understand what that goes to? Its not just the middle east. Who do you think pays for the retirement checks? Or the medical bills for the solderers and family's? VA benefits all come out of that pot of money. Wake up

I love how the terrorist sympathizors always say they are "shocked" at facts they intentionally skew (which once they do that they aren't really facts). The language belies how your view is contorted to an agenda against America. You and Ugly Betty should bump uglies.

I would much rather seen tax dollars being invested back in the American people, to bring up the standard of living and to produce a more educated healthy populous. War is a very poor investment.

I do not know where you get you figures but they are way wrong because over 60% of US government spending is on social programs such as wic, SS, medicare, food stamps, etc.

2007-04-15 06:20:52 · answer #9 · answered by Coasty 7 · 1 0

Actually only 7% of our GDP is spent on Defense.

But I wish it was 51%! Heck, I wouldn't mind if it was 90%!

As long as we get rid of these wasteful social entitlement programs, I'm happy

As for your comments about collateral damage, totally wrong! Collateral damage has been greatly exaggerated.
