ok so i asked this girl to prom and she said i dont know i might be going with someone else. what does this mean? and what should i do? We have known each other for a long time but are more of aquaintences then good friends i asked one of her really good friends if the girl was going to prom with anybody and her friend said no she wasnt and that i should defintly ask her. I asked her today. Since she is shy i didnt want to do anything big or public idk i just thought she'd perfer i not so i just asked her "if she would like to go to prom with me? and she said idk i might be going with someone else i said thats cool if you want to think about it and let me know and she said yea she would. sooooo im just a guy so i need a girl to interpret this for me. she is really beautiful but shy but she isnt the type thats got a ton of guys after her and prom is only a month away exactly o and we're both juniors. so what does this mean? and what should i do?I don't want her to go with me if she doesnt want to and just thinks she is doing me a favor or somethin like that wouldn’t be right 2 days have gone by and she hasnt said anything to me

Maybe she just isn't sure if she wants to go with you...or was she even planning on going to the prom in the first place? Some girls aren't real social butterflies and would rather not go to the prom.
Don't be pushy to get an answer from her...she might be in shock or just too shy to give you an answer...

She might just think of you as a friend and doesnt want to hurt your feelings by saying no. There also might be some other guy she really likes and is trying to go with. There are tons of reasons she might not have answered you. I would ask her if shes thought about it since you asked and if she still doesnt give you an answer than I would ask someone else so you definately have a date. If she really really was thinking about going with you she would have said yes on the spot but she could also be waiting for you to bring it up agian.

She might be hoping to go with someone else or is actually thinking of going with another guy or friends. I'm sure she will tell you before prom so i wouldn't worry about it to much. If she really is shy like you said she may just be nervous about it since you are just acquaintances. If it gets down to two weeks before prom and she hasn't said anything then she's not interested and you should find another date.Otherwise, wait it out and see. .

It's possible that there is someone else she wants to be asked by and she is waiting to see if he will ask her. If she hasn't answered you by the middle of next week, I'd bring it up again. Be nice about it though. Say you were wondering if she decided yet. Just because she would really like to go with someone else, doesn't mean she would only go with you as a favor, but keep in mind she may only want to go as friends.

I can tell you the she is waiting for the right person to ask her to the prom and she is looking for someone that will make it worth remembering. So use your heart to show her that you are willing to show her that it will be worth remembering....

it means she is waiting for someone else ot ask her and if they dont your her back up plan. Just tell her if she doesnt want to go wiht you then say no so you can ask someone else she might give you a staright answer then. Becuase if you wait too long and she says no youll go dateless

if she is shy she seems like the person who has dreamt about this day for her whole life thats the way girls think big days are prom wedding and so on if u get my drift so maby she needs time to think about who shes going with its jst the way some of us girls think any way you seem like a nice gye so i wish u the best of luck xx

she is probably trying to figure out if you actually mean it or are just asking her because no one else has. if she doesn't let you know very soon, ask her again. that will show her you really want to go with her. she could already know if she wants to go with you but isn't sure how to bring up the topic.

well my answer is that i think shes just windering if she is goning to prom cuz my friend david asked me to go but we hardly talked and i didnt want to go to prom but now im so excited but the only reason ididnt wanna go is cuz i didnt wanna spend money i ll be spending like 2-3 hundred and he is onkly spending lke 50-60 mayb that s why she dosnt know and dont worry were all knid of think of preom

Not a girl - but I guess she's wanting to see if you're persistant. Give it a couple of days and if she hasn't got back to you then ask her if she's made up her mind. Maybe she's wanting to see if you're serious about asking her and weren't just asking anyone and everyone.
