Do you, like me, also hate religion?

I hate their hypocrisy. I have always hated all religions. It started when I was told a story by my parents how my strict Christian aunt kept saying I would go to hell because I didn't get baptized, go to church, or follow all of these hypocritical rules. I realized most religions have hypocrites who are like this, and I wondered to myself, "what kind of God would cast all people to hell who didn't follow all of these rules?" Then I realized there is no God and I converted to Atheism, the best move I ever made in my life. I am now dedicated to science and bringing down religion. We will prove God is fake like how we proved all Pagan gods and goddesses are false.

I have never set foot in church because they are boring and a bunch of liars.

I also hate religion. I do believe in God, but I can't stand how phony religion is. And every Religion thinks they are the one true religion. How closed minded they are.

So basically...you are pissed of religion because of what some people kept trying to push down your throat. Thats not a sense a realization thats an act of frustration.
Now to say God is a false entity would mean to have absolute proof that he doesnt exist which i doubt you even have the lightest fringe of evidence to prove that yet.
Atheist mostly are not so different from the christians evangelist fools who cling on to their religion so tightly that they refuse to believe anything else.Why. Cause both are so damn blindsighted by your own beliefs. And which is another reason why your so called "research" will fail. Atheist like you have a larger tendency to dismiss all claims of any existance or small proof of God because you are so determined that there is no God at all and anyone who tries to explain otherwise, you cast aside immediately claiming falsivity much like how Christian evangelists dismiss claims of Scientists and many researchers should their finding contradict with their belief.
So please i urge you try not follow down this path, its a path that oly leads to ignorance. Instead try not to just be blindsighted by a belief there is no God but instead a follow an understanding to try to discover the many wonders of the Universe. And if you can answer every question this existance we call life throws at you, then you would have found the answer whether God exists or not.

And btw, you cant say you hate all religion. Your anger falls towards a single religion apparently judging from your statement which shows that you havent studied or even began to look at other religions around this world.

I am a Christian and I hate religion, both at the same time.

You see Biblical Christianity is not a religion, its a relationship with Jesus.

That is something, which, based on your question, your Aunt did not understand very well.

For example Baptism does not save anyone.

No one can force another to become a Christian and for some reason your Aunt didn't understand that.

Perhaps she attended a church which was messed up.

Lots of them are.

Which is very sad, indeed, that God gets blammed for the actions of people who aren't really His followers.

Jesus even told us that there would be hypocrits in the church, so that is nothing new.

..ur aunt wasnt suppose to do so..anyway..its good that ur an atheist so that u can really know if there is a God or not..but..i beleive there is...if u jss think...how was the earth created and the sun and the whole universe ull notice that there is sumthin that "created" them..wutever this this was we call it God..if he is the God of islam or chritianity or jew or non then we call this God..even if the universe jss came from the infinity then the infinity is God..but this doesnt make sense...if as u say, u are addicted 2 science u would hv known that theres nuttin without a reason..and the infinity 4 being a God doesnt make any sense...so there is a God who we dont know yet but we will have 2 discover sooner or l8er..but there is evidence of God..peace:)

If there's a god available, or interior us, then the question is incomprehensible. we've unfastened will to have self belief what we choose for. Religions are guy-made communities of folk who share a client-friendly concept. they're cultural, that's why they're so distinctive. some religions have self belief THEIRS is the only authentic faith. yet whilst god relatively disturbing or hated religions, do no longer you think of we'd all be believing or disbelieving the comparable element? "Christianity, on the different hand, grow to be on no account meant to be a faith." it is authentic. yet ,oh how the founding fathers found out what a administration device it would desire to be and is! absolutely everyone seems to be grasping. some extra desirable than others. If all Christian denominations relatively accompanied Jesus' teachings, there may be no wealthy church homes. One in specific has amassed a fortune in actual sources, useful gadgets, functional antiquities, and nonetheless claims it desires contributions for the unfavorable. That makes me giggle. So who's glorifying who? Glory to God? I doubt it. Glory of wealth is extra in all risk. Like I reported, absolutely everyone seems to be grasping, fairly people who faux to no longer be. besides, i've got not got self belief anybody has risen, walked on water, grew to become water into wine, or any element. Jesus grow to be an impressive youthful guy, yet a guy, no longer a god. The bible grow to be written by using adult males, no longer a god. end being stimulated by using all the dogma and you'd be greatly surprised what you learn.

Hypocrisy is a religious term. If there are no true moral standards then there are no violators. If there are no violators then there are no hypocrites. If there is a true moral standard of right and wrong(good and evil) then the atheist has the problem of explaining where this standard originated. Simply put there are no hypocrites if there is no true good and evil. If you say I have morals then how do i know these morals are correct and not just your opinion? What if your opinion is different from somebody Else's. Then who's morals are right and who's are wrong? How then can we differentiate between your hate and their hypocrisy?

Good luck kiddo,Better men than you have tried.I'm sorry that someone like your Aunt made that impression on you as a child.The fire and brimstone preachers are pretty much a thing of our past.Or should be.God is about love and choices he gives you in life.God will not cast all people into hell as you put unless you turn your back on him.All the evidence is right there for you.All you need to do is read the book.Which is the only way to know what it is you want to prove wrong.I like you, used to be scared of God.Because of people like your Aunt.But I read his words and felt his presence in my daily life.Now you or nobody will tell tear me away from my God.I read all the things that people write on this site and I see how much this world is need of his presence.I am sorry you seem to think you hate us.We don't hate you.I feel even sorrier for your Aunt who tried but probably never really knew our Lord and God.

There are many wonderful ideas in almost every religion, and atheists can examine and grow from these ideas.

That said, the way religions are practiced and demonstrated by people is truly appalling. Religions cause the vast majority of human suffering on the planet and we'd be better off without them.

However, if I were you I'd pick more practical things to hate: violence, racism, poverty, extinction. Focus your ire on these things; you'll be a lot more productive and happy.

I hate it all with a passion my friend...
I really recommend reading Richard Dawkin's "The God Delusion"... absolutely incredible material. Science, evidence, facts, history, satire and more all in one big serving which goes on to point out the flaw's in all religions... and also explains quite thoroughly why it is that God cannot be real. He is an absolute genius! And im not just saying that, look him up and you'll see what i mean.

If you do not believe in God or religion, why go thru all this proving stuff. Are you that bothered by God, religion? Could it be your unsettled heart? Or the void we were all given by God that's not filled? Not putting ya down at all, just wondering. I'm not into Religion myself, as religion is man's attempt to reach God in man's own strength and we are not strong enough, so this is futile. I have strong Faith in God, His Son Jesus who died for my sins, so that I do not have to pay the penalty of eternal death. I live freely, in God's love thru His Son, with my once empty void filled with the Holy Spirit that gives me understanding, comfort and Hope in this troubled world. Even if you waste your life trying to prove God is fake, God/Jesus will always be there for you to love you and make you His child and welcome you home in Heaven forever if you look to Jesus for love and answers, not man. This lifetime's mistake of denying Him will cost you eternal life's Hope to be with Him and not with satan. Choose Jesus as your master while you still have breath and the mind to choose, before it's too late. Once judged, there's no turning back. Read about the Rich man and Lazarus in Luke. The rich man dreaded his fatal decision that was final. There are hypocrites, yes, but do not base your decisions on man. Man will fail you, Jesus will not.
