The average age of Americans that are marrying is 20. I feel if the couple is mature and ready for marriage the suitable age would be 18.

People on average get married between 24 and 30. However, there isn't really a set age you *have to* be to get married. I think the couple's maturity level emotionally is more important of a factor than age.

That is hard to determine. I waited till I was 21. My sister got married at 15, her husband was 18. I have been married 3 times. When my sisters husband died 2 years ago they had been married 39 years.

It depends on the person. Is the person mature and are they truly in love. My husband and I got married when we were 20. My parents got married when my mom was 17 and they have been married for 27 years now!
