Hmmmmm....not an atheist, however I can really answer that question since I was Christian at one time.
Its full of priests, pastors and reverends who think its OK to commit adultery and then tell their deacons if you don't like it get out of MY church....I thought it was God's Church.
Its full of parishioners who turn their backs on a woman seeking divorce because her husband had an affair with a congregation member. The congregation members knew about the affair!
Its full of parishioners who when you've been away from the church six months and finally come back tell you "We missed you" but in that six months NEVER picked up the phone to ask where you've been and if there is anything they can do to help.
Its full of believers that DEMAND you believe what they believe and if you ask questions to clarify something that you don't quite agree with your told to get your head on straight or your going to hell.
Christianity perpetuates and justifies hate, murder and other inhumanities to fellow man, all in the name of God.
Christians do not promote free thinking or free will. They promote strict adherence to something that has no fallible proof that any of what they say is true.
They DO NOT accept that EVERYONE has the right to think for themselves and BELIEVE what they want about religion and faith. If you don't agree with their OPINION (that's all belief is, a matter of opinion) they condemn you to hell.
That's what it's like to be a Christian.
That's why I am now a Pagan.

One of the worst things I can imagine. Being arrogant, walking around w/ a holier-than-thou attitude and getting my kicks by telling everyone that they are going to hell...trying to pretend that I'm cool and in the in-crowd b/c I am going to heaven for believing, and not having to actually change my lifestyle or even read that book they proclaim to love....
No thanks. If the choice were christian or torture, maybe. But just the question "what would it be like"--it would be like one of the worst things imaginable. I mean to be so arrogant and get off by being judgemental, much less stalking people with bible verses and using butchering every logical argument by saying "If you'd just assume I'm right, I could prove I'm right" just isn't my style.
I shudder just to think of it.
