Where I live we tend to count summer from the time the college kids get out in the beginning of may to the last week of august, when most of the tourists go back home (since many northern schools start in Sept) so thats 17 weeks. It is 3 months starting June 21/22 to sept 21/22. So thats about 12 weeks.

Like was said before, safely the average weight loss is 1-2 lbs a week. You will have some weeks when you can lose a good deal more, but then you hit a plateau when weight loss seems to stop. The muscle is being formed faster than the fat is being lost so even though you are working out, getting healthier, and losing inches/getting toned, the actual number on the scale isn't dropping.

So, if you use the calendar definition of 12 weeks--nope it would be impossible to lose that amount of weight without starving yourself and doing severe damage to your internal organs.

If you count the 17 weeks of southern summer--and lost 3 lbs a week--you would be able to hit that 50 lbs healthily. Though it would be outrageously difficult. I seriusly doubt you could do it without being enrolled in one of those fat camp programs--like Biggest Loser--when you have a trainer working with you, making sure you can't get fattening food, you can't go off your diet, and everyone there is each other's support system. If you are working at a desk job 8 hrs a day. And only able to work out a couple hours without someone stretching you to your max limits, it would not be possible.

I think you may get close but would need some expert help, if losing some pounds of any description and inches is what you want then I would suggest you use a diet that is all natural and is rich in protein and vitamins, which is what the FDA recommends. I used a protein based diet after a friend who had lost a lot of weight with this recommended it to me. All the way through you feel great and energized, you also get great coaching and support along the way. The people are very friendly and gave me lots of great advice. I needed to lose 40 pounds and I did so with no problems. The products really work and you feel great whilst losing weight. I lost all my weight in less than four months and they have helped me to keep it off. I would definitely recommend using them. My sister did this also and lost 76 pounds in five months (She works out, I don’t). There is no pressure and they will even send you a load of free samples so you can try before you buy. The samples were the thing that initially convinced me that this was the right diet for me. You also a get a free complete health consultation with the samples, I just paid the postage and handling, but for what I got it was well worth it. You just go to www.myhealthabc.com to register your details to get the free samples and the free advice etc and then they just call you up and ask you a few questions. It was so easy. Their main site is www.myhealthabcmall.com and you can see all the products and packages and order from their. Its nice to have contact with real people who care about you losing weight and improving your health. I am in better health now than I have ever been thanks to these products and I know that I will continue to keep the weight off with the help I have received. I hope this helps.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Get started today!

Not healthy. The only way to do that would require starvation which would result in you being fatter before all is said and done.

If you start eating healthy and exercising every day you will will start losing weight and toning up and by next summer you will have lost that 50 lbs.

...seems like a long time? just think of it this way...if you would have started last summer you would have lost the weight by now! No time liek the present to start!

Yes but its not a safe option. Experts say you should lose no more than a pound or two a week, which would equal about 15 lbs in a summer.
