you should bring all of your ideas to your artist but realize that sometimes people try to put too much into one tattoo and it just looks jumbled. it's hard to make a cohesive tattoo out of seven different ideas that are not related. you may have to get multiple tattoos. go to a custom tattoo artist who can create something great for you. a good artist will tell you if what you are asking for is too much. a good artist will not do a tattoo that is too busy or confusing. they'll be open and honest about what will look the best. good luck!

I feel that it is best to take the ideas you have to the artist and let them get creative with the pieces that you want. They will know what will look good where (keep in mind skin moves as do the muscles beneath it when you move thus causing the tat to move as well) A good artist will also know what to fill the blank area with so it will look good. Worst case you don’t like what they do and you have then redraw it best case you get a GREAT new piece that is MORE then you ever thought it could be.

my husband has a part sleeve and it's sexay! If you're a man, opt for it so long as there no flames, roses or something usual like that. If you're a lady, DONT DO IT!!!! Your tattoo artist is proper, you dont desire a bucnh of artwork simply piled on one subject. But be certain it's the tattoo YOU like no longer your artist! It is everlasting and I would not desire any one Else's recommendations that i didn't a hundred and ten% like on my frame!!! And so far as your fiance', SLEEVES aren't trashy, perhaps should you had demonic crap in every single place your fingers, however do like one part sleeve, and mayge whatever at the within of your different arm to stability it out. NO LEG, NECK,STOMACHS! now the ones are trashy. Besides, if SHE REALLY loves you and isn't controlling, she is going to ultimately get used to them...perhaps even like them!

I would take your individual designs to your most trusted artist (or a few artists if you don't have one you use regularly) and have them HELP you in designing the layout. This way you can get their ideas, yet provide your opinion on the final result without making the artist redesign over and over again.

if you take your designs to a reputable tattooist they should be happy to work with you to create your own. Its a great idea as you will have your designs and their expertise. they will know what will look best.
hope this helps x

Yes, it's better to let a aartist do it. But if you want you can be a little creative.
