yea, but sux for christians and religious people dude. They have to go through life thinking they will go to hell or heaven. It gives them less of a peaceful state of mind than us atheist. Maybe that is why they r so uptight and tense and rude, u know

I am an atheist. I prefer to worry about life than to worry about death.
I do not believe in any heaven or hell, so yes, I do not worry about heaven or hell. But I do put into place certain things that I cannot do when I die. These things such as trusts, wills, estate planning, are important to those who keep living.

I'm actually hoping there is a hell because I keep telling my mother-in-law to go there. I might seem foolish (I probably already look foolish) if the place doesn't exist after all my threats.

I have no worries about death. But it is hard to generalize something to all atheists. After all, there shouldn't even be a word "atheism." After all do we have words for people who don't believe that Elvis is still alive; or a word for people who don't believe aliens are abducting our cows; or a word for people who don't believe in the tooth fairy? Atheism is nothing more than the noises rational people make in the presence of the delusional.

Wow!
Do you believe in germs? Have you ever seen one? Do you believe in a million dollar bill? Have you ever seen one of them?
Ya'll are in a for a rude awakening to the extent of eternity. Sounds like you ARE worried, else you wouldn't be asking. You don't have to be a Christian to read the Bible. it all based on facts. It doesn't matter whether you believe in heaven/hell, you will still go to one or the other when you die. In your case the latter.
FYI: Time to turn, so you don't burn! (just a little humour there)

I wonder how many atheists become BELIEVERS if they become struck with terminal cancer!! I believe, but if i didn 't, I'd probably worry about the implied cessation of existence that would be coming in a short matter of time!

Yup, I agree. But, it makes me live life to its fullest, since there is no afterlife, and I don't have to worry about being punished after death.
