I believe the better interpretation is that the "son's of God" simply refers to the godly descendants of Seth ( third son of Adan and Eve) and "daughters of Men" to the ungodly descendants of Cain.,(The first son of Adam and Eve. Who killed his brother Able the second son)Jesus assured his disciples that a "Spirit does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have." (Luke 24:39 N.K.J.V.) Demons are non sexual, nonphysical beings and they are incapable of having sexual relations and producing offspring. So a demon cannot produce flesh and bone. They would not have sperm.

Well, no. In the Bible verse you reference, Angels looked down on Earth and saw how beautiful human women were. Then they went to Earth and had sex with the earth women. From this union, the Nephilim were born..a race of half human/half divine Giants.
If you read your Bible you'll find 2 interesting things:
1) This is the reason given for the flood. God apparently did not approve of this union. :)
2) Paul (in the New testament) later says, "This is why women should cover their heads...because of the Angels". Paul obviously believed that if women covered their heads a 2nd flood would be avoided.
Many Churches have followed this warning throughout history and had women cover their heads.
Amazing (funny?) what you can find if you read your Bible. (In the same section you'll find Noah passing out drunk and naked. You don't hear that in Sunday school!!)
Hope this helps.

Yes.
The Genesis account explains:
“The sons of the true God began to notice the daughters of men, that they were good-looking; and they went taking wives for themselves, namely, all whom they chose. . . . The Nephilim proved to be in the earth in those days, and also after that, when the sons of the true God continued to have relations with the daughters of men and they bore sons to them, they were the mighty ones who were of old, the men of fame.”
(Genesis 6:2-4)
Comparison of these verses with a statement recorded by the apostle Peter indicates that “the sons of the true God” were disobedient angels. The Nephilim were the hybrid offspring of illicit unions between women and materialized renegade angels.—.—1Â Peter 3:19, 20.
2 Peter 2:4,5
“Nephilim,” meaning “Fellers,” denotes individuals who caused others to fall. They were tyrannical bullies, and the sin of their lustful fathers is likened to the perversions of Sodom and Gomorrah. (Jude 6, 7)
Together, they whipped up intolerable wickedness on earth.
The reason why God caused the flood.
At the global Flood, the rebellious angels dematerialized and returned in disgrace to the spirit realm. God punished them by prohibiting them from again materializing human bodies. The Nephilim, the superhuman offspring of the disobedient angels, all perished. Only Noah and his small family survived the Deluge.
They are out of favour with God (in spiritual darness) & confined to the earth now along with Satan - Revelation 12:9

I've always understood this passage to mean that men who were "believers" marrired or at least had sex with women who were "non-believers"....
And, yeah, what Paulie D said-- deamons can't have sex, they don't have physical bodies.
Deamons is the word I apply to Satan's minions. They're beings of spirit, similar to some angels. (The only difference is who they're following, who they're helping... Angels are God's messengers and deamons do Satan's bidding.)
Father G- How did Moses (the author of Genesis) know about Greek mythology?? He was quite a bit before their time.

There are a few interpretations to that passage.
1. Yes, Fallen Angels did have sex with women, producing some sort of hybrid that had to be wiped out of the gene pool, hence the Flood.
2. Same as #1, but instead of Fallen Angels, these guys were aliens who created alien-human hybrids, who again were wiped out via the Flood.
3. Getting more down to earth (heh), it's possible that this passage alludes to the ancient mythologies in the area, all of which involved gods sleeping with women to produce superhumans like Hercules.
4. People's earliest memories were of Neanderthals living alongside them and had to have some way to explain their bigger, stronger brethren.

Mythology.
The Hebrews knew the tales of women impregnated by Gods that were a major part of Greek, Egyptian, Babylonian and Roman mythology.
Unfortunately, Hebrews are pig headed literalists so they needed a way to explain how this could happen in the context of their developing Monotheism.
They are likely talking about the Greek Titans or their Babylonian counterparts.
Hercules in the Bible....lol.
But there is that Samson character, who is just a dime store Hercules knock off, also.

There are many different descriptions of what a nephilim is. "the daughters of men, i.e., those who were descended from Cain."- wikipedia
Anyway, your passage that is in question is,"The Nephilim were on the earth in those days—and also afterward—when the sons of God went to the daughters of men and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown."
Sons of God doesn't mean angels, but rather those who were like to his metaphysical image, those who were followers of God. The faithful in other terms... Daughters of men refers to the physical beings (people) who had not evolved higher states of consciousness. Those people were characterized as being giants and when consuming all that there was of the earth, consumed the flesh of their neighbor.
So in conclusion, the nephilim were barbarians of apparent great physical beauty and strength, but contained realitivly no spirit of being. When those two kinds bred their offspring were very powerful mentally and physical, resulting in heroes.
"When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, the sons of God saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. Then the LORD said, "My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years." The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. These were the mighty men who were of old, the men of renown.[2]
If one studies the root word (lpn, which is transliterated as naphal), nephilim could be read as "the fallen ones" or "those who were cast out," this doesn't mean angels. But rather those who have gone from the right path. Descendants of Cain, sinners, killers, evil doers, whatever you want to call them.
p.s.
the word daemon is not an evil spirit from hell. It really means a spirit which can be good or evil.

No , the Nephilim (fallen angels) had sex with earthly women.
The offspring of these were not Nephilim as stated above. The actual name for these hybrids are Gibborim, which means "different" and were they ever. These were Giants ,violent , proud. They were also called men of renown etc.

Demons are spirit beings, not physical. The last time I checked, you have to have a physical body to have sexual relations with women.

The demons you speak about are men who are not obedient to God but have rejected Him.
Angels and Demons are spiritual beings...no body= no sex.
