I think I understand what you're asking. You mean when we cook at home do we just make enough or enough to feed the entire neighborhood?
I make enough with a little bit of leftovers for the next day to snack on.

I learned to cook for 7. Now I try to cook for 2 most time I end up with enough to feed 4 or 5 so some progress has been made. Sometime a painful process because nobody eats the leftovers but me and the dog. lol

Should only cook for 4 but was brought up to cook for double the # you need so if someone walks in at the last minute you always have enough. Have been trying real hard to break this habit because I am the only one that will eat the leftovers.

Normally, 2, but if you call by 4:00pm you'll be included. My family knows the rule, my 2 can change to 6 in a matter of minutes, but then again that's just for dinner, I've smelled coffee brewing before I get up in the morning and found a few family members leaning into the fridge and wondered what I was going to cook for breakfast and does the boat have enough gas in it, Eggs Benedict anyone?

Technically there are only two people in this house. But I usually cook the standard recipe of 4-8. Because I have one small serving, my husband has about 3-4 servings, so we're lucky if we have leftovers for the next day. (And he's skinny and can still eat that much!)

Generally I cook for three people unless my son's buddies are here. Then I cook for 5-7 people.
I really like that his friend's feel comfortable in our home, but boy, can those teenagers work up an appetite.
