...to boycot guys who listen to misogyny on the radio, TV, in music and magazines? I'm old and settled down with a PERFECT man, because I always figured, if you can refuse a man for being a smoker, why can't you refuse him for being a woman-hater? If he allows it to be said about any woman, he allows it to be said about YOU.

Do you believe you can be a fun ;) girlfriend without settling for degradation?

LOL rpoker is jealous becuase I figured out how to be self employed.

Actually he's a college professor who has taken a visible role is trying to get the college women to see how bad it is when they accept less. It's a losing battle though.

Thrill, please look up androgyny in the dictionary. Look up "ignorant" while you are at it.

and do you also believe that a guy can be a fun boyfriend without settling for degradation?

After all, if a woman allows demeaning comments to be said about any man, she can allow them to be said about her boyfriend. Does that make her a man-hater? What if she listens to androgyny on the radio or television?

I can't agree with the basis of your logic in the "If he allows it to be said about any woman, he allows it to be said about YOU " statement. It's based on a theory that is assumed to be absolute and that just not the case.

I don't know your personal situation but it's unfair to say that just because some men do certain things that all men do the same.
