I tend to procrastinate a LOT, and it shows, especially when I have to study for exams.

I used to have the same problem but just try to think how good you would feel not to have things lying over your head and not doing them. Doesn't that make you feel a little anxious? I make a list of things I need to do everyday and make sure to cross things off as I do them. At the end of the day when I see all I have accomplished I feel a great sense of pride. Making lists also breaks things down and makes all I have to do seem more manageable and less overwhelming. You can do it and you will feel so much better! Good luck!

Firstly you have to confirm consciencely that you are procrastinating in the following activites that you are not participating in, afterwards make rearrangements (Such as plans to keep in mind, I.E. study for about 20-25 minutes before a test, etc.) to study, complete work, and prepare yourself for the exams you are looking forward to accomplish.

DO IT NOW!!

That said, it is a natural thing to put off projects to the last minute. Do not feel wierd.

The best start is to get yourself a good schedule. one that realistically fits you. Do not start with jogging 5 miles at 3am and then volunteering at the homeless shelter for 2 hours before getting ready for work.

The first thing is to make a diary and actually catalog what you do for a month. Then make small changes.

Procrastination comes from the inability to organize. Things become overwhelming and it is easier to just not do it, whatever "it" may be. I try to start one project and finish it and then go to the next. Once you get going it gets easier.

There are self help books out there that you can get from your local library. Obviously you are not a Capricorn.

Make schedules.
Study for 30 minutes, take a break.
Break up the work into smaller sections instead of doing it all at once.
If you tackle it piece by piece, it seems like less than trying to tackle it all at once. This way, 30 minutes seems more appealing than 5 hours and you are more likely to do the work.
It works for me.

Just keep focusing on the reward/prize.
Always remember that it's worth it if you studied hard and in the end you get good results for your exams. Good luck! I'm having exams too.

haha me too. try doing homework for an hour then take an hour break. spread out ur work thruout the week it wont seem to be as much. look at one task at a time not at how many you have to do otherwise u'll feel overwhelmed. pretend you are looking foward to this and are going to have fun ( helps me sometimes lol)
