When I was 13 I got the ridiculous idea into my head that I was fat. I went from one extreme to the other- too thin and then too fat. I wish that I could turn back time to when I was 13 again and not to have started skipping meals and bingeing. DO NOT CRASH DIET. DO NOT GIVE UP ALL JUNK FOOD- because this is likely to make you binge eat and put on more weight. You should drink lots of water- like 8 glasses a day, give up all drinks except diet sodas and water, go for a 30 minute walk a day/ other exercise, and snack on fruit- keep your main meals the same except for ketchup, mayonaise etc (substitute for salsa or something). Weight loss may be a little slow- but once you have lost the weight you can maintain it.

+ Only eat when you're hungry.
+ Walk about 30 mins-45 mins each day, walking fast for 2 mins and then walking moderate for 2 mins then repeating
+ Jogging for 15-30 mins in the park every 2 days
+ Doing yoga 2-3 times a week
+ Swimming 4-5 days a week
+ Walking your dog [if you have one]..
+ Do 10-20 sit ups every day
+ Get 1litre water bottle and fill it HALF WAY with water, and put your arm straight down so it's beside your waist. Then Bring it up like you would with a weight, then bring it down. Do this 15 times on each arm twice a day!!
+ I also used to do Jump Rope it burns about 400 calories in 10-40 minutes and is really good for strengthening your legs!
+ Ride your bike to&from work [if you go to work]
+ Do Pilates. Lie down on the ground facing a wall. Lift your leg up [make sure it's straight] move it high up against the wall until you feel a slight stretch [DON'T do it too high otherwise you'll cause injury] hold for 4-5 seconds and do the same with the other foot. Repeat 5 times, twice a day
+ Eat healthily. If you do all these exercises then munch on bars of chocolate or McDonald's, you'll never succeed. Allow yourself one small bar of chocolate every Sunday, after Sunday Lunch and don't give into temptation!
* Gradually build up though, don't do everything I listed here all at once because you'll do yourself injury.. And all this does pay off because I was 5'6 and 160lbs once and I gradually went down to 122lbs over a period of 3-4 years, and I didn't even restrict any foods I just did all this exercise and didn't do any diets. I don't eat McDonald's or fish and chips or any other fast food, just healthy food and I only eat spicy foods ocasionally

If you want to lose weight, you have to exercise more and eat healthy. I know it's hard to eat healthy. You don't have to eat all vegetable and drink diet coke. It takes time, make a list of what you eat daily.
You can eat or drink anything except the following:
Soda - diet or regular (instead drink something light in sugar and more in vitamin like oj or water, read the label)
Butter - butter is all fat (instead use olive oil or vegetable oil)
Dairy - milk has vitamin D (instead drink OJ w/ vitamin D or drink 2% milk for similar taste)
Sauce - any oil based sauce (instead use mustard, soy sauce, hot sauce, or tomato sauce w/o oil on it)
Fry food - any think fried is no good (if you must have it, make sure it's fry in vegetable oil)
Fast food - no fries or sides (if you have to eat fast food, make sure the sauce is light and don't ask for a side order. It's a waste of money and your health)
Remember that suguar turns into fat if you don't burn it off.
Americans are so fat because of butter and oily sauces.
Chinese takeout are good source of veggie, however, don't intake took much sauce. They use vegetable oil (good), but too much of it is in the sauce.
Eat slowly and stop when you are almost full. Instead, bring a fruit to work and eat it when you are hungry later.
Bring an ugly picture of fat or someone that's very fat. It will remind you not to over eat. Also eat with people that eat healthy.
Exercise as often as possible, even if it's just walking to the kitchen or bathroom. Like the Nike commercial, just do it.
Look at the people in the city, they are usually skinnier than country folks because they walk more than drive.
You sit and drive to work and sit at the office for another 8 hours. That's alot of sitting and maybe only 20 minutes of walking total. We should do the opposite.
I know it's hard for sub-urban people, so you have to do the walking before work or after work. Try to walk around in the office too. Drink lots of water will help you get going to the restroom.
If you follow my instructions, you will lose 10 percent of your weight. I am 5 feet 11, used to weight 190 last year. Now I am down to 165. I lost about 15% by eating less juck food and takeout. I also did just a bit more exercise. So by changing a little, it help me alot. Good Luck.

It's perfectly normal to be a little chubby at your age. My sister in law was chubby from 8-11, then she had her growth spurt and she's been thin since.
But if you really need to loose weight, sports are the best. Anything that involves running or jumping will firm up your legs and stomach. (volleyball, track, basketball, soccer or whatever you like). Running is good too.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter your stats and it will tell you how many calories a day you need to maintain your weight. take 300-400calories off that number and that's how much you need to lose weight.
eat 5-6 small meals a day instead of 3 big ones.
5-8 servings of fruit and vegetables a day.
8 glasses of water a day.
4-6 times a week cardio work out for 30-50min plus light weight training.
no junk food, no sodas, no white flour (white bread, pasta, cookies, cakes etc)

Sorry hon. There is no 'magic pill'. You just need to eat healthy foods: lean meats and veggies, drink water, and exercise.
It is as simple as that. But if you do it (and not eat processed foods like chips, cakes, etc) and exercise I can guarantee you that you will lose weight and get in shape.

Search the web for 'cabbage soup diet'. There are a few variations. It works, I know because I use it every now and again. (And have been for many years) Mainly after Christmas. And don't worry, you don't ONLY eat cabbage. You lose 5kg+ in one week. (+- 11 lbs)
After that, you need to evaluate your eating/excercise habits and make consequent changes if you don't want to gain it back.
All my best wishes

How much do you weigh now? How tall are you? I don't think you should worry about your weight. Have fun! You have plenty of years to be concerned about your weight.
