Stand them straight up on a rack in a roasting pan with about a 1/4 cup of water in the roasting pan. Put a whole bottle of liquid smoke in the water.
Ribs can be put together and touch, side by side. The more ribs you have the better.
Then, cover with a piece of Saran Wrap and two pieces of tinfoil- heavy duty aluminum foil is best.
Preheat Oven: 300 degrees
Place rack of ribs in a pre-heated 300 degree oven
Cook for about 2 hours up to 2 1/2 hours.
Pull them out -- take off the aluminum foil and plastic -- rub them in honey and let them cool.
Slather in bbq sauce -
Them fire up your grill and grill about 20-30 minutes
or
Under a broiler - 10 - 15 minutes. Bone side down.
Turn them -- Don't let them burn under the broiler. Stay with them and check them.
Take 'em out - Eat!

I would put them in a crock pot or boil them. (I am lazy so thats why I use the crock pot.) When they get tender, place them on a roasting pan and cover with BBQ sauce. Bake them for about 10-15 min uncovered. If that is not enough BBQ sauce halfway through the baking put another layer on.
Also while you are boiling the ribs put some onion, garlic and pepper (bell pepper, or jalopeno if you like it spicy) and a little salt in the water with the ribs to give them good flavor.

Please don't boil them. Here's an idea: rub the ribs generously with Chinese five spice powder and let marinate for a couple hours. Cook them at 250F for about three hours or until the meat is very tender and comes off the bone easily, brush with your favorite teriyaki sauce (I like Veri Veri teriyaki from Trader Joe's) and place under the broiler until crispy, be careful not to burn it, the line between caramelized and burnt is a fine one.

It's a shame you don't have a grill - the Kingsford charcoal people have some great ideas on their site. Have a birthday coming-up?

at noon put 'em on with a bottle of your favorite bbq sauce, on low.
see ya at dinner!
(with this method, it's unnecessary to remove the membrane on the inside as well!)

Sorry, but a grill or smoker is the only way to cook these babies.....Any other type of cooking will just ruin good meat!!
