First I want to state i am not religious bashing!!! i respect others veiws. But I am curious why people have such a hard time having thier children beleive in a man that once was (santa), but is ok to beleive in another man that once was (Christ)?

I think Santa Claus like the Easter Bunny and Great Pumpkin reveal a spirit rather than a reincarnation. we were lucky in that our four children held their beliefs until we told them at 10 years old.

The deception required some elaborate ploys and growing up in Singapore they weren't exposed to some of the cynicism whey would have had in the states. But even with that belief it was more a belief in goodness and a spirit of humanity than a white haired man with a pot belly.
