did he die to save himself also??
if he knew he was going to come back, where is the sacrifice. this would make the crucifiction a publicity stunt.

also i find it a breach of trust that god impregnated one of his children.
is this a form of rape or was mary consentual.
is it also concidered adultry?
is god a dead beat dad for spawning a child then being aloof and invisable.

It was prophesied for hundreds of years about the Virgin Birth. The Jewish people knew about it and were waiting for it to happen. The sacrifice comes through the blood. Only the shedding of innocent blood will remit sin. God is Divine Spirit with no blood. The flesh has blood. So when God came to this economy through the virgin birth, He came to become the Perfect sacrifice for ALL sin. Jesus was part Divinity and part flesh. The flesh provided the blood and the Divinity provided the authority and the power to overcome the fleshly desires that are sinful. We must do the same thing and can, because Jesus provides a way. God never starts anything that He won't finish. We must be born again of the water and of the spirit (St. John 3:5). We are given the formula for this in Acts 2:38. We are baptized by immersion in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of our sins. Then we will be given the gift of the Holy Ghost (Acts 2:4,10:44-46, 19:6, and verified with St. Mark 16:16-17) Experience this and you will have a life changing experience!!!

Jesus was God and Man He came as a subsitute for Adam who sinned against God. He came to fullfill Scripture and to make people realize He does exist and He does Love us. There has been no god that has ever taken human form to go through the sufferings and humilitating death like this before and never will again.
Mary like all human beings had free will but she was created as the perfect tabernacle to host the Christ Child.
If you think God is aloof you are just reading all the media hype which is run by atheists( this was poll taken a few years ago 92% of the journalists do not even believe in God and because they are so intellectual think everyone else is on the same wave length... not!)

Original sin made Adam and Eve die Spiritually (separation from God the Father) AND made them mortal so they would die Physically.. this is what we carry as part of the Original Sin...

Jesus has power over death because He is the Physical offspring of God.. but He had to DIE for us to demonstrate that we would indeed be resurrected as He promised.. but He had to will Himself to die after He had fulfilled all of the Prophecies pertaining to Him.. He also had to know the insecurity that we feel which is why God the Father withdrew to the ends of the Universe and Jesus felt Himself abandoned after being in continuous contact with God since about the time He turned 14 and started His Father in Heaven's work here on Earth...

Jesus was sinless throughout His life here on Earth and did not need saving...

Mary was consensual to the Birth of Jesus and the only time God abandoned Jesus was in the last moments when Jesus hung alive on the Cross...

It was then that Jesus knew that His work (or the part before His resurrection) here on Earth was finished and He could die.. and Jesus had to voluntarily WILL Himself to die...

OK, I really don't think you care and I won't change your mind about anything.. so I'll stop here.

Thanks for these thoughts.

I'm Christian and going back over the text in more of a literary analysis way.

This is another good question. I had been questioning the whole Gabriel visiting Mary telling her it was good news episode, considering that I think that Daniel 10-12 is talking about a demon's perspective, and the same with most of the book of Revelation. All these angel visitations I don't trust.

There are clones everywhere. That's why it's been said that Moses was really an Egyptian. I don't think he was. I think that the Bible has only survived because it is the rework of the original, whatever that was, of so many people wanting to "confess" in a cultic, I-didn't-really-say-that kind of way to having wanted to be somebody else.

Therefore, Daniel chapter 11 should be informative. Verse 2 of the speech by the shiny man with multitudinous voices (a version for every occasion? goes along with distributor's rights so that heaps of people share in passing the fragments of messages around, not realising what the totality looks like, which looks something like a robotic version of forgiveness?) says: "Now then, I tell you the truth." This is after a brief disclaimer about his important business fighting the prince of Persia and the prince of Greece, along with help by Michael, the double agent who is the archangel on God's side and "one of" the chief princes on this demon's side.

Therefore, yes it does seem to be a breach of trust to impregnate one's child. I didn't even see it. It's yet another method to justify Christianity's treatment of justice concerns for the parishioners. It's so obvious. I'm worried. Does this mean I'm a deviate because it didn't jump out at me as wrong? Well, I see it now anyway.

The exact expression for "with child" used in Matthew 1:18 is "en gaster echo" which means "in womb have." There's no word for child here. The following expression is "ek hagios pneuma" meaning "out of the holy spirit." Don't know what that means. It could be a reference to the way in pagan religions, the womb is considered to be a place of deity. In the Bible, the womb represents the earth according to Psalms 139. The Holy Spirit moved over top of the waters in Genesis 1:2. Does this mean that Mary was ovulated by the Holy Spirit and just needed to sleep with Joseph to make the transaction complete? I'm just brainstorming here.

Anyway, really thanks for this post.

Jehovah God transferred Jesus' life into the womb of Mary.Mary did nothing more than carry that life and give birth to it.
Jesus was born a human but he did not originate from man and therefore did not inherit sin as the rest of us have.
Christ died for those who exercise faith in him to release us from enslavement to sin and death which resulted when Adam and Eve(both created perfect) disobeyed God and sinned. As a result of that sin they lost everything;perfection, eternal life and life in paradise and as their offspring we too are born into sin and death.Through Jesus' ransom sacrifice we now have the opportunity for eternal life-John 3:16,17:3
I wont even entertain the second portion of your question because it is just stupid. You would do well to study the bible and then you would begin to understand what a wonderful caring loving God,Jehovah really is

why insult what you dont understand??

no, God DID NOT commit any rape!
Mary accepted. read the bible and you will see for yourself
Jesus was God and man, but did not commit any sin. He was tempted, but did not give into temptation.

the crucifiction WAS NOT a publicity stunt. it was to save all people, you and I, from our sins, so tht when we repent, we are forgiven. Jesus was the perfect sacrifice. He suffered and died a very painful death because He loves us so much.

do you think that anyone would allow themselves to be crucified just for publicity stunt???

if Jesus had wanted to save Himself, then he would have. but He went ahead for all of us, not for Himself

may i suggest that you do not post such comments on this site. they are offensive to some people and its not nice.

As the Bible brought out, it was through Adam, a man, that sin was brough forth. Through the seed. That is why Jesus could have no earthly person for a father to be perfect.

Jesus was placed in the womb. There was no sex involved.

The love of His life, and constant companion saved him. If God gave Adam a help mate and companion for his adult life, would He not do the same for His only begotten Son?
Only - Jesus handled it entirely different from the first man Adam. Jesus righted the wrong that was done at the beginning. (That is why a man will leave his mother and father, and cleave to his wife.)

Jesus was born without the stain of original sin, as was his mother Mary. He was subject to all of the trials, tribulations, and physical sufferings all people are subject to, but he never sinned. Being human, he had free will as we all have been given by God, and was tempted by the devil, but he resisted it and chose to do his Father's will.

Jesus was conceived in Mary's womb by the power of the Holy Spirit. And yes, it was very consentual - it's all in the Gospels - try actually reading them sometime. She was actually asked by an angel if she really wanted to do this or not, and they awaited her answer. So IOW, she could have refused. But she voluntarily chose to do God's will.

God is never "aloof and invisible". He actively works in our lives, many times in ways we do not understand or expect. As Holy Scripture says, His ways are not our ways.
