People would really be scared if a boy liked them? Yeesh!
Listen. I'm 22 now, so I have a healthy distance from those times. I think most girls were more flattered when a boy they liked was talking to them a lot rather than scared. It's a safe bet that your advances won't be brushed off as long as you're not acting creepy.
Hope that helps.

Regarding social success and success with the girls:
It will all be in your attitude. You need to be able to demonstrate that you are mature. That you have school under control and achieve a measure of success with it.
You also need to have something to talk about with women. Have a hobby, or a sport you participate in that you can discuss. Something of interest.
Before you can define yourself as part of a couple, you need to define yourself. What do you bring to the relationship? Are you good academically, have a sense of humor, friends with the people the other kids like?
Observe the behaviors of the kids who are on the social ladder: How do they behave? How do they do in school? How do they dress? How do they behave when they are interested in a girl?
Height won't matter if you have confidence and something a woman can admire. My 12 year old stepson has high school girls hanging out car windows at him. He is awesome at baseball, excels in school, and thinks he himself is pretty cool.
It's all in your attitude.

I wouldn't mind if a guy went up and talked to me but if he was telling me he loved me and wanted to marry me within the next 5 min., then yeah I would be scared. It doesn't really matter how much you talk to them. It depends on the conversation. It you 2 are talking alot then you 2 must be getting along really well.

Sweetie, lol. Here are a few things you can do,of course your nerves are going to be going crazy.Walk up to her,and start a conversation, anything. Some of the topics you can use include music, bands, movies, television shows, etc.Next ask her what her plans are for the weekend are.If she says nothing, then ask her to go to the movies or to your favorite restaurant. She isnt going to be scared, but you also have to prepare yourself for rejection should that happen. However,if you have confidence and you hold your head high, odds are shes going to react to that and she is going to say yes.No female,is going to be scared of being asked on a date.It is common to be nervous, but actually being "scared",come on now.She will be flattered.Good luck hun,and have a good day!!

It depends on how you talk to a girl, if you are constantly coming up and being all serious, asking intimate questions and acting a bit stalkerish then yeah, you'd freak me out but if you were friendly and just liked to have a joke and a chat then you'd be okay.
