No, it's not so unusual - I think a lot of teenage boys would enjoy spanking a girl. I certainly did - I was 15 when I first spanked a girl properly (over my knee and bare-bottomed) and I loved it.

This is the most common "kink" out there. I would say that it is NOT unusual for a teenage boy of that age to enjoy spanking a girl. It's not for everyone, but I would venture to guess there are a LOT of guys out there that age that would probably be into it.
If he's a good boyfriend, even if it's not something he wants to do, it won't "make a fool out of you." He'll listen and tell you what he thinks. I think so much time is wasted between people when they fail to just say how they feel, to put their cards out on the table, to tell the other one what they want.
