I check with stupid delta lke every hour, and it says we're sorry but we're still looking fr your baggage! I feel so bad because my mom is upset, and it was only me and my brothers, and the rest of our family's made it?!?!

The airline is responsible and if they do not locate it, you will only be compensated $250.00 unless you had it insured for more.

The airline only assumes responsibility up to a certain value. Travel lighter next time - it sounds like you don't travel much. I always try to travel with only hand luggage unless I'm staying for more than two weeks or so.

The last time I flew to Miami with absolutely nothing except what I had on and then went shopping when I got there - that is much easier. If they lose the luggage on the way home, who really cares - right? You have other things to put on at home!

International Airlines Treaties between all countries say the last airlines you flew on is responsible for losses, regardless of which airline lost it along the way. So if BA was the last ones to handle your bags, they are responsible.

The airline is responsible from the moment you check it in until you pick it up from the Carousel. Particularly in a case like yours where they actually removed it from the airplane. In fact for them to have lost it for this long constitutes a security breach, as they are supposed to be able to track it from when you check in

Travel lighter and try to stick with just a carry on bag.

Sorry you lost your luggage, hope they find it.

Airlines not airports.
Do not travel with anything you do not want to lose. Never pack valuables.
