My allegiance is with my husband, because he is the partner with which I raise my children.
My instinct is with my children. To protect them
before all else. As is that of my husband.
It would be a cruel God to ask a wife and mother to choose between her husband and her child. However, knowing that the child is safe is a primary instict for parents, so a woman chooses the safety of her child, who is a child, over that of her husband, who is an adult and also chooses the safety of the child.
P.S. it is not your place to stand between a husband and wife. Put the Family authority out of order: Father, mother, children....and you are going to have problems.

Pitching fits, having temper tantrums, insisting on your own way disrespects your parents. Focus on what you are responsible for: yourself. Gain your independence as children do when they grow up. Have a job, a car, a checking account. Then establish your own household. That is the natural order.
Then ask your wife: Who would you choose, me or my son?

I think all fathers must feel ,at one time or another, just a little left out and maybe even a little jealous of the baby. women are capable of loving more than one at a time. It is not the same type of love she feels for her husband and her son. But she knows that without her husband, she would not have the son. And her gentle loving care of your son should show you just how much she loves you..his daddy. And from now on, the three of you are forever joined together. If you are feeling a little left out, just jump in there and help her out...in any way you are able. Trust me, she can really use the help, no matter what it is you can do...the bath, the story? just be near to share the joy of watching this new little life unfold. You ARE still loved, but now by two. Oh, to be just starting out again on this grand adventure called life...don't take any of it for granted...you are in for the time of your life!!! As to the part of having to pick son or husband, she would far more rather sacrifice herself than see either come to any harm...you might just as well ask her to cut out her own heart.........

I love them both equally...
Ummmm, if I had to choose, I would choose my son because my husband would live on through our child. Isn't that the point of having children... when u r dead n gone, its like u r still here b/c u live on through ur kids! I pretty sure my husband wouldn't mind and would feel the same way, he's understanding and wouldn't let me choose, he would volunteer! GOOD LUCK!

If god asked me that he wouln't be a good god, I may not have kids right now but I sure wouldn't choose between my husband and my son. I would love them equally. No one should have to choose between family, god made us to love each other equally you know. God wouldn't make people choose like that, thats not why we were made.

ok i love my husband so much
and we doesn't have a son yet.
But if I'm going to choose between my husband and my son i will choose still my husband coz my son will have his own life and i want to spend my life till i die wit the person i really love.

Do you think your wife loves your son more than she loves you?
We love our children in a different way.
I feel we are here to protect our children though.
