it took him two weeks to even look up and make eye contact with me. Even though we were the only 2 in the gym. Then in week three he was on his way out the door and stopped look back and said see ya later. It has been 4 weeks now and he finally says hi, but still keeps contact and eye contact very low key. I am very serious during my workout and dont like disruptions and he acts the same. So what is the best approach to get him to talk to me more! I can tell by the glances we exchange there is something there....but what do I do now? He answers his phone quite a bit while working out...if he is hooked up I still just want to be able to converse and mayb make a new friend.

Ask him questions about his workout. Or for help with technique on how to do an exercise correctly. Or to spot you with the free weights. Once you get your foot in the door, so to speak, ask about him, get him talking about himself...his own workout goals, etc. But don't be too aggressive, or corner him, follow his lead, and before long he'll think it was all his idea..this new friendship. Good luck.

it's obvious he's interested in you,why not ask him out for a drink when you're both leaving the gym. Some guys just dont like being bothered when they're doing their work-out,dont be offended by it.
