I heat the milk first on the stove and stir it at the same time. Once it is warm and little thick, I add sugar and tea bags and keep it for two to three minutes. Sometimes I also add little amounts of cardamon. Then I pour it in a cup and have it! Taste great for me but I guess it depends on different people.

I recommend a tea ball or tea strainer. It is a metal or sometimes plastic container in which lose tea is steeped. Tea bags are ever as fresh so some of the flavor is lost. Put a teaspoon of tea in a tea ball (I prefer Early Grey) Pour in hot water one sugar and milk and all is right with the world.

I do the Japanese Tea Ceremony. Not really. i went to a place in Westwood who did it for me and laughed my #%$*! off. It tasted bad too. I use white tea and dump the tea bag in hot water. I know my water is too hot and I let it steep too long, but I still ike it. I actually sun brew my tea to make Ice tea in the summer. Its suppose to be better, but the real reason is that I am too cheap to waste gas to make tea if it is avoidable. It's my contribution to the environment. Although again, some of my teabag is made of nylon.
Edit: Yes I have loose tea, and some tea bags to stuff the tea in. I got lazy and stop doing it. Besides, I save those teabags for Bouguet Garni.

I follow many of the same directions as you, but more often than not, I leave out the sugar and milk. Currently I am into a new box of Tea Tang Dimbula Ceylon Tea, and it is worth recommending. (www.teatang.com)

Eeeeeeek!!!!!!!
Sugar in tea !!!!!
BLAH!!!!!!
The proper method to brew tea is to warm the teapot, fill with hot water and then add the tea. Let stand for FIVE minutes, covered with a cozy to keep it hot. (Kitchen towel will do) and then drink it BLACK!!!!!!
In the summer, you can add ice and cool off on those sweltering days.......or, I'll admit there tain't nothing better than sitting in a dark bar with a beer talking with friends.
