it depends on our personal relationship to god , the book of revelation calls it being in "the church of laodicea" we are sleepy ,niether hot or cold & think we have it all , we are advised to 'buy without cost from christ' which i believe is to pray & study to build our faith

For many people, (most?) questioning doesn't come easily.
More commonly people absorb the values and truths of their family and culture.
Only when exposed to other views and cultures is this likely to arise and even there, in most cases, the established views will have implanted aversions to "dissent" ,"falling away", "heresy" etc.
This isn't just true in the religious field. Lifestyle, consumption, class... we all acquire massive amounts of baggage before we are old enough to question them.
"Did you pack those bags yourself, or did someone pack them for you?"

(I hope im understanding you right)
It is so easy to believe here In America where our right has long since been established. Also Our lives in the day to day world is effortless at times Go to work pay bills we began to
form routines where the value of precious things seemingly is diminished. We tend to take for granted things we should not
like our behavior we think since we go to church all is well
sadly we take the Gift of salvation for granted.it hadn't ought to be so.

Because our society tells us not to question them.
We are supposed to take in all "beliefs" as they are, and not question them. So we take them for granted as part of what we are, our self, our identity.
