I agree with Gem.

If the charge off is reporting inaccurately, you have a legal right to dispute it.
If you dispute it and the CRA's fail to correct it within the required time, then it must be deleted.

But, if it is reporting correctly you will have to wait for it to drop off at the required time.

You have the paper work from the credit card company in hand. You have paid off the credit card? You need to now cal the credit card company and give them the all mighty say so that you are comlpetly done with all the charges. If you have not paid off your credit with the company they can still charge extraordinary charges to your card that will more than equal the charges you may make or even the worse, they can charge you on your outstanding balances. If you have closed the account the credit card BANK can still charge you interest rates that are APR ridiculous. The only way to remove the account is to pay it off in full. If they are still charging you with money you must look at your current statement and
Call the Customer Service number...
Remove your account.

Been there Done it..

If the Credit Card was in someone elses name you may also have a problem as you must absolutely put a STOP ORDER in to the customer service line.

Shred the card!

You can request all you want, but it won't be removed until either the lender and/or collection agency they sell the debt to gets tired of reporting it, or you pay it.

Don't count on it being "removed" after seven years. They will likely sell the debt to a collection agency and the clock starts over...

No. After 7 or so years it falls off.

But you can't have a charge off removed.
