You can't stop nature which is why your cat is trying to catch stuff anyway. It's in their nature to hunt. They are hunters and that would be how they would survive if we hadn't domesticated them. You can put a collar on the cat with a bell to scare away the prey but some people think this is wrong.

Simple - don't let him out. Contrary to what some people may believe, cats DO NOT have to go outside. In fact, it is very dangerous to let a cat outside because they can fall prey to larger animals, get in fights with other cats, even lose their way home. I have two cats who are indoor cats and they like it just fine.

That's like trying to stop growing toenails! It just ain't right. Cats are killers and thats the way it is. Who are you to change Gods plan. Whats next swimming chickens or flying dogs? Nothing wrong with cats killing other animals, thats just the way the world is. Get over it.

if you let cats out its in their nature to hunt play with and kill mice, besides when they bring them to the door or into the house they are supposedly bringing it as a gift for you.
