Drinking dramtically lowers the amount of testosterone you produce. This is why you get horny, your testosterone levels are that of a 14 year old girl when drunk, and your body is freaking out pumping out hormones to try to raise testosterone levels, this is what makes your horny.

The levels go up eventually, but it takes a while, and does throw off your production cycle.

It also dehydrates you (which is what causes hangovers). You drink over a gallon of water a day if you work out just took keep them well hydrated to prevent injury, increase strength, and aid recovery. If you drink you need to drink more than double that in water, but even then it will mess you up.

And it also is a very large amount of "empty" calories, meaning they are much more likely to be turned in to fat.

A hard night of drinking can add over 1000 calories to you diet, but its mostly sugars. Meaning it has a poor effect of muscle growth.

To review, too many empty calories, very lower testosterone levels, and severe dehydration.

All of which will destroy you if your a weight lifter.
