Im gonna major in Engineering next year. What is the best text for Linear Algebra? Linear Algebra with its Application by Gilbert Strang? or Linear Algebra with its Application by David Lay? Or another one that you used?

You'd be better off picking a good professor and using whichever book they prefer.

Best Linear Algebra Textbook

I used Linear Algebra with Applications 3e by Otto Bretscher and really enjoyed the text. It had a good amount of historical anecdotes, interesting problems, and it definitely made me think--it was not set up so that you could read the text and then fly through the problems, you had to actually understand the material.
