your CAPS key seems STUCK on CERTAIN words. why?

now to address your 'big invisible fairly in the sky vs. small invisible fairy underground' question ....

both are myths. many religions believe in one or the other because that's what religion does - it propagates myth. GOD and the DEVIL are simply personifications of the concepts of GOOD and EVIL.

Well, God and Devil are not real. They are beliefs held by religions. These beliefs do not correspond to reality. Most religions deal with morality and espouse an "ethic" concerning what is right and what is wrong. Most religions attempt to explain why things exist. Most religions attribute the cause or creation of what exists to a "God" and choose to attribute the moral equivalent of "rightness" or "goodness" to this same hypothesized entity. That which destroys or causes harm is attributed to a devil who embodies "evil".

Regarding power, and that or whom which possesses power, it's a mistake to attribute the source of that power to God or the Devil, since they are mere abstractions. Powerful forces in nature like the sun, earthquakes, storms, etc. were misunderstood for centuries and Godly attributes were assigned to them by the ignorant.

Personal power, wealth, military power, the power of religious groups or other groups formed by people with common interests or goals, are all things which possess some type of "power" attribute, but none of these come from a God or Satan. It's a mistake to think otherwise. The actions or deeds performed by any of these groups are a result of CHOICES made by human beings, and these actions and deeds can be judged in terms of whether they are destructive or nurturing to the human species and/or all life forms. That there is some overriding principle or entity called EVIL or GOOD at work controlling these choices is, again, an abstraction.

So, simply put, there really isn't a GOD or DEVIL. These concepts come from a lot of mistaken notions.

Following the devil is much easier than following God. But I believe God only has good intentions for us, while the devil does not.
God does not destroy the devil because he believes people should have a choice. If there was no evil, we would not appreciate the good in the world. If there was no evil, we would be forced to do good. I would rather have the option of doing bad than having to do good all the time.
Good and evil are the basic things that children learn. In ever children's story, in every Disney movie, good and evil are represented. It is so we can learn to make decisions. It is so we have a structure in life. If there are opposites, there is structure.

Devil was one of the leaders of the Angels but he rebelled against God so he was cast away and doomed to hell. He asked God for a last boon that he may be allowed to live till the day of judgement so that he can take others with him. God granted him his desire that is the reason God does not destroy the devil. God gave humans free will to choose between good and evil. He who chooses good will attain salvation and those who choose evil are doomed with the devil.

As God (as you call it) is each little thing, if it destroyed the devil, then it would be destroying itself... God is the devil - all of us have a depressing factor... My God, this is full of Stars!!! - The Monolith in the action picture measures a million by ability of four by ability of 9, that are the Squares of a million, 2 & 3, that's the Hebrew quantity call for God. Devil is not the anti thesis of God. He is a creation in the scheme of things, created by God. A part of the lila being designed and weaved by Him. A devil helps man to cross over the hurdles and thus work out his karma, which is the purpose of his life.

God is the most powerful anywhere. People keep evil in this world, and it's not because you touch yourself at night like that girl said.

God tried to fix the world many times by fire, flood, etc...but the people kept getting worse.

Read the ten commandments from the bible and ask yourself how many you have broken. your average person has commited at least 9.

Then read the bible and find out why Jesus came to the world.

john 3:16

God gave you the choice after eve ate the apple from the tree of knowledge.

According to 1 John 5:19, the whole world lies in the power of the evil one. The first religion to introduce the concept of opposing forces of good and evil was Zoroastrianism. Zoroastrianism sprung up in Persia (Iran) and had great influence on other religions that sprang up later in the region, including Judaism, but especially Christianity.
