God does allow pleaure and fun; with necessary boundaries.
Creativity and fun are fine; with boudaries...
Sex is fine inside of marriage...
Heb 13:4 Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

I think it's just the boundaries that you have a problem with...
1Jo 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.(to us)

Gal 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
Gal 5:20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
Gal 5:21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Gal 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

BY the way...it wasn't an apple that Adam and Eve ate....
Gen 2:16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
Gen 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

The fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil wasn't a literal fruit; but was a parable (metaphor) for something deeper (which I will not share with you because of your mocking tone)

It never says anywhere in the Bible that God does not want us to have fun, pleasure or be creative. It depends what you are talking about. If you are seeking God you can become the most creative person on earth, because you are doing exactly what you were created to do. If you are talking about the momentary pleasure that sin brings, that is just that momentary. Eternal pleasures will last forever- Heaven will be amazing. My 2 teenagers just got back from a mission trip and they had the most fun they have ever had- and no they were not seeking pleasure for themselves, but helping other young kids who are less fortunate.

Heaven is off the hook!! (do people ever say this?) Anyway - GOD is ALL about the good times!!
As a wise comedian once said - ever see our faces when we are making love (having sex) you know GOD's laughing in heaven!
Where do you think/feel our ability to know when people are NOT funny, too serious, comes from? Our guardian angel is yelling in our ear to tread softly around these people.
Oh, I have no reference to which GOD you speak, wow - you may be correct. I initially thought you meant GOD as Roman Catholics see GOD; you didn't state under which human set of perceptions the GOD of your question is. If a human thinks GOD has no sense of humor, or enjoyment in everything GOD makes - those humans possibly are wrong - I hope they are wrong.
I will think about this question for awhile, I can't see GOD as people that made you ask this question do.
Peace and joy/laughter to you.

I certainly do. Sure there will be praising God, but Christians enjoy that. Worship is enjoyable to us. Being taught what God says about us and how we should live is enjoyable to us. You would be surprised how much history we learn in church.

It will be the same in heaven, except we will be able to talk to Peter, Paul, John, Joseph of the Old Testament, David who killed the Giant and taught us what it is like to be faithful to God. Imagine talking to Jeremiah who wept over the immorality of Israel. How they had turned from God to lesser gods (which really don't even exist, but they worshiped them anyway).

We will be able to see the Universe as we have never seen it before and hear our Father in heaven talk about how it was all created. I can't imagine having more fun. We will probably get the best science lectures in heaven as well.

God allows pleasure, to begin with you believe in Him and praise Him and seek Him for guidance, and your on the right track to recieving every good thing that is for you. Pleasure, well God made it so that we can only concieve if we have sex...that's pleasurable. Fun...well playing with your child, speanding time with family and friends, eating your favorite food, laughing etc....fun. Creativity...if God ddn't allow creativity, then we wouldn't be having this conversatin on the web. As for the etc.. God allows you to do what ever you want , however He approves of every good that you do.

Yo! Baby! What you been readin'?
Who put the desire into every man's heart for a woman?
Who put the desire into every woman's heart for a man?
Since we are created in God's image and He is the ultimate creator, where do you think the desire for creativity came from?
Try this:
"...and spend the money for whatever you desire—oxen or sheep or wine or strong drink, whatever your appetite craves. And you shall eat there before the Lord your God and rejoice, you and your household." Deuteronomy 14:26
Ever hear of the 'Year of Jubilee' (which, unfortunately, the Israelites never celebrated). PARTY TIME!!!
While negative desires seem pleasant at the time, only true joy is found in Christ!

i think as long as those of you who have self belief there is the style of place; you will probable make it up as you pass alongside. In my humble opinion, i've got self belief we proceed into the subsequent airplane of life, in case you want to deem this as heaven or hell; so be it. The few church homes which I even have attended with buddies sounds greater like hell extremely than a place of peace and cohesion. i won't be able to think of a place so boring and terrible that should pass on and on and on appropriate to the only reason you have been in heaven become because of the fact which you tithed on your church or saved the commandments or some thing else or perhaps that God aid you in, besides, merely because of the fact which you have been his introduction and did no longer want to tell the preachers that Hell and Earth have been the comparable place. All time super celestial shaggy dog tale on mortal guy, ha ha.

So are we talking about sex, drinking, and smoking?
Sex: Excellent but detrimental outiside the will of God (sex before marriage) ie: a fire place can warm a home, but it can burn it down if it escapes from it's metal grating.

Drinking: Great, but detrimental outside of the will of God (over consumption) ie: a drink can relax you, or completely hinder our judgement and cause a death or destroy a liver. Its happened to plenty of my relatives. The bible never says drinking is wrong. It says drunkeness is wrong. (Law of Diminishing Returns)

Smoking/Drugs (depends): I believe God gave us natural things to relax us, but not destroy us. ie: tobacco. can cause cancer...or destroy your mouth. Effects of nicotine:
"Nicotine causes a short-term increase in blood pressure, heart rate, and the flow of blood from the heart. It also causes the arteries to narrow. Carbon monoxide reduces the amount of oxygen the blood can carry. This, combined with the effects produced by nicotine, creates an imbalance in the demand for oxygen by the cells and the amount of oxygen the blood is able to supply." But we do have drugs to relax and numb the pain for medical reasons. It is up to us what we put in our bodies.

As for Christian, we are considered the temple for the Holy Spirit. If we truly believe that, wouldn't it make sense to take care of it?

Pleasure, fun, creativity etc...is not forbidden. It just requires self-control, and God's will comes first.

oh boy. I could go on for hours. First up almost everything I enjoy is against the bible. And by the way I bet that the christians defending the bible saying god lets them have fun, are taking part in entertainment that offends god. My Impression of heaven is that the saved people will be in gods presence and sing him praises. Basically worship. That sounds really fun. I will be worm dirt when I die as will everyone else.
